delilah: oh it's like totally okay, i get it really!

delilah: but um yeah you can make it up to me... what were you thinking?

asher: you're not mad?

asher: i was gonna leave it up to you, actually. i was thinking dinner, maybe go to a club or something in mobile, but i'm honestly up for anything you wanna do, i'm the one who's making it up to you, right? so whatever you wanna do.

Hooking up with your best friend’s girl was bad, developing feelings for your best friend’s girl was so so much worse. Delilah and Asher were still broken up, right? Not that it made it any better, but there was some wiggle room there, at least he tried to convince himself that was the case. As if a technicality would save him. It didn’t help he was growing more comfortable with her too, making sneaking around that much harder. He was still scrubbing her shimmery ass sugar plum lip gloss lip stain lip whatever from his jaw when Asher knocked at the door. “Sup, dude.” He greeted so casually, as if the girl Asher was in love with wasn’t there a mere twenty minutes before. The guilt was really starting to get to him. “I found my old Wii when I was cleaning out my parent’s garage, I’m about to smoke you in Mario Kart, dude. Luigi still sucks, by the way.” @ashkeene​

"---Sup,” Asher greeted Bentley with a grin, looking up from his phone when his friend opened the door and greeted him. Giving him a fistbump and a pat on the back as he stepped inside, Asher rolled his eyes, laughing out loud. “What the hell do you have against Luigi? He’s dope. But I’ll believe that when I see it. I recall beatin’ your ass last time we played. --I ordered some pizza, it should be here in a few, by the way.” Asher was ready to spend time with his best friend after weeks of having to crack down and focus on school-- he had a whole summer to chill with his friends and play mindless games and not worry about homework.

roxie’s pink hair was down in curls around her face.  she’d driven out to mobile yesterday for an audition and had wound up spending the night with a friend before driving back into town.  now, since she had the day off, she was wandering through flipping through instagram as she looked around town.   she watched someone walk across the street with a dog and sighed, “okay, serious question.”  roxie said, turning to look at the person closest to her.  “should i get a dog?  this is not the time for pro con lists or expansive reasoning, this is the time for quickfire.  yes or no.  right now.”

“--Yes?” Asher raised his eyebrows as he looked over at Roxie, his lips turning up into an amused grin. “Though you probably do want to think about it just a little bit. Havin’ a pet’s practically like having a kid.”

“Twenty dollars right now, all yours, no strings attached,” Sol states, holding up the twenty he spoke of, before adding one string adjacent caveat, “If you can guess the weirdest cause of a fire I’ve ever uncovered. One guess maximum. Go.”

“---How am I supposed to guess something like that?” Asher shook his head, letting out a slight laugh. “I’m curious though, how weird was it?”

“Alright, I can cop you a pizza, free of charge. But you gotta let me know the toppings. And trust me, this will say a lot about you.”

“---Well now how am I supposed to order? I don’t wanna be judged based off my pizza topping preferences,” Ash replied, chuckling under his breath.

“I’m just sayin’, it doesn’t make sense that Rachel ended up with the guy who smashed an egg on her head,” Eli replied, shaking his head.

“I hated that dude. It would’ve made more sense for her to end up with the hot blonde. Quinn? Rachel was annoying as hell, though.”

“Alright dude, now that you’re finally free from the chains of college – we’re getting you drunk off your ass. You earned it. I don’t wanna hear any excuses. We’re getting slizzard tonight.” @ashkeene​

Alice was very much outside her comfort zone, but as she sat around the bonfire, she smiled. The fire crackled and glow of the light cast shadows all around her. She’d take a video of it, on her camera. It was like… picture perfect, for a coming of age film, but she didn’t want to appear weird at her first real Frostford party… even if it was 3 hours away, on a beach. The beer was flowing, and Alice found herself feeling it quite a bit. Noticing someone behind her, she grinned. “Hi! Wanna drink with me?” Her words were only slightly slurred.

Asher didn’t know the girl well-- he’d heard mutterings about her from the old gossips in town, but this was the first time they’d actually met, and... Alice looked well on her way to being drunk. Finishing off his drink, he gave her a nod. “Sure-- what’re you having? Not tequila, right? ‘Cause I can’t do tequila.”

“Hi,” Resa said, turning as she saw the familiar face approaching. The beach was really nice, the roar of the water making her feel like she could be in some kind of fantasy movie. Maybe a romcom. Maybe this conversation would be a super life-changing experience. “I forgot to pack a bathing suit.” 

“--Hey, Resa,” Asher replied, going over and sitting beside her. “You forgot to bring a bathing suit to the beach?” He chuckled. “---You wanna borrow a t-shirt of mine or somethin’? I have an extra pair of trunks too, but I don’t know how well they’d fit you.”

After riding in the car for three hours and being at the beach, the last thing Lily wanted to do was sit around looking at a fire that she could see back in Frostford. “I’m gonna go for a walk, want to go with?” she turned her attention to the person beside her. ( @frostfordstart​ )

“--Oh, sure,” Asher replied, surprised when he realized she was asking him-- he got up immediately, giving her a smile. “Not really up for a bonfire?”

After having invited a few friends out to the beach for a little getaway, she realized the mistake was telling anyone outside of her group of friends because she saw seeing people arrive in droves. Normally, she thrived in large parties, but she was just a little anxious due to the fact that she was running away from issues back at home and it was looking more and more like home just followed her. Taking a sip from her cup, she rolled her eyes and poked her lips out in frustration. “Fucking hell..” she said to herself softly, not realizing that there was someone right there when she decided she was just going to walk closer to the water and enjoy herself far away from everyone else. “Oh… hey!” a soft smile played on her lips but her eyes darted around awkwardly. Seemed she wouldn’t be getting away from everyone after all.

“--Hey, how’s it going? You having a good time?” Asher replied with a good-natured smile, rubbing the water out of his hair as he approached her. “You should take a swim, the water’s great.”

“Alright we put in all that effort to get the beer pong together whose in?” They’d found a foldable table and a shitty plastic tablecloth in the airbnb they’d booked on the drive over, big enough for people to just figure shit out and pass out somewhere. So naturally he’d brought it to the beach and set up a friendly game. “I’m still too sober so you gotta be able to beat me.” 

“---I’m game, haven’t had anything to drink yet,” Asher offered, standing up and brushing the sand off his swim trunks.
