Moroccan Bakoula
Bakoula is made from a certain type of mallow plant. However, most recipes you’ll find online use spinach and kale. That’s what I’m using for my recipe. This salad is a really yummy and healthy way to get your daily greens. In Morocco, people eat bakoula with bread (khobz). So you could call it a salad or dip/topping. I ate this for the first time at a Moroccan restaurant and was in awe. I made…

French Baguette
I’ve been really enjoying baking bread lately, so I decided to try an old baguette recipe I used to make years ago. I was so pleased how it turned out, my husband was very impressed as well. We ate this with a Moroccan dish called Bakoula for a dinner appetizer (bakoula recipe coming soon), and then ate baguette with olive oil and spices for breakfast.
This recipe comes out nice and fluffy on the…

Double Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
Double Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
So, a couple weeks ago I told my husband we were taking a break from sweets for a while since after my baby shower we had a crazy amount of desserts leftover. (I even gave a bunch away to people) But of course that didn’t last with me being 35 weeks pregnant. I blamed the special occasion to make cookies on the fact my step daughter was coming over. That’s an excuse right? 🙂 These were a HUGE…

Vegetarian Lentil Nachos
I would choose these nachos any day over meat nachos. They’re so yummy. Great recipe if you’re looking to add more beans to your diet or just want to cut out meat in general. This recipe can be customized to your preference.
 Ingredients:
1 cup lentils
1 cup black beans (pre-soaked)
14oz bag of frozen corn thawed to room temperature
4 cups chicken broth
1/2 onion finely chopped
Extra water for…

Bread Pudding with Challah
Bread Pudding with Challah
If you’ve read my previous post, I made challah bread. So naturally I have to make bread pudding because that’s my favorite way to eat bread pudding. You can use any type of bread but I strongly recommend a sweet bread like challah, cinnamon raisin, or some type of honey loaf.
 Ingredients:Â
2 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup sugar
pinch of salt
4 eggs…

Challah Bread
This is my favorite bread to make, I haven’t made it in a long time so it was really nice to finally bake a challah loaf again. Challah bread is a sweet Jewish bread. It’s usually braided (I think that’s my favorite part), and mostly eaten during Jewish holidays. I’m not Jewish but I love me some challah! My favorite way to eat challah is make french toast or bread pudding with it. Or simply…

Moroccan Baghrir
Baghrir is a spongey pancake. Very popular in Morocco, I was inspired to make this because of my mother in-law. I like to eat it topped with honey, you could eat it with maple syrup or fresh fruit also. Some like to dip it in olive oil or just eat it plain.
 Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 Tablespoon dry yeast
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 Tablespoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt

Carrot Soup
I actually got this idea from one of my pregnancy apps. I love making and trying new soups, carrot is one of my favorites. You can switch up the spices and use ginger instead of curry, or just stick with garlic. I personally like the carrot curry recipe the most. This soup is really healthy and great if you’re pregnant. It also literally only takes about 40 minutes to make. I paired my carrot…
