Praying for a joyful July.

I hope to not only survive this, but to emerge transformed into someone better as a result of it. Certain cycles need to end forever. It’s time.

It’s a good thing that you can’t fathom why someone would intentionally hurt others. Don’t try too hard to understand.

I’ve spent the last week thinking about this. It brings me to tears sometimes, my inability to understand certain things I’ve either witnessed or experienced - I’ve been blaming myself for the things that don’t make sense to me, as though blame will sharpen my vision somehow or provide insight. This post has given me pause and helped me to breathe. Being hurt doesn’t make me a bad person, and not being able to understand cruelty doesn’t make me naive. Thank you.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: A lot of "mental health issues" disappear when bills are paid, rent is secure, and the fridge is full. Peace is expensive. And pretending money doesn't affect mental health is privilege.
