I was remembering the birth of the Thomas joke and I remember the original post mentioned Thomas a new ancient breed, but I swear I later saw him to be hced as a new modern breed. So I was curious on your takes

It made sense for gaolers to be released on the anniversary because they were the first ancient, but they aren’t gonna do it now. Dusthides were only a couple months ago and it’s pretty accepted that they’re releasing two a year.

It’s not gonna be a modern because obelisks were only three years ago, it’s gonna be longer. Yes, I know they’re done the refactor. Yes, I know they hired more artists. But I can basically guarantee that even if they have a new modern ready to be released, there would be so many errors and bugs that the userbase would be angry about everything.
