Not Herself Anymore

I mentioned it in second chapter and it would be described directly in the-fight-on-injector scene; Spins would... well, SPIN in jump and DRILL her legs into the ground so she has the fulcrum.

It took a lot of inspiration and work, but I am more than satisfied.

Meet the grinded (damned-)dozen and their couch-Pearl! Pyrope already fixed their appearance to an acceptable level and they learned a thing or a few, so they are a lot more like Eternal Servants! Not ready to fulfill their new duties yet, but... The ending result is the only thing that matters, right?

She never knew those little secrets and tricks AP-007 taught her once would be helpful in such a way. She wanted to appoint a meeting with that new Pink Diamond desparately, if she still had a right, of course, with those Galaxy-is-free-whatever-news. To make sure that she really wasn't- ...that 'Steven' really is a totally, absolutely new person, but... She discovered something much more than that.

After a huge break, I'm back!

I decided to take more time to actually think of story details (past is very important and all the differences in Original Spinel and AP-Spinel behaviors are taking their roots there). To take this story with more responsibility.

I'm gonna look through the published chapters, change just a few tiny details (and check grammar, duh) and next part of fic will be out!

For now, have some sketches of this pinky sunshine in training. I'll publish a full picture of all the Grinded off Family later, too.

And this one was inspired by 'Komi-san is bad at communicating' manga frames, but I just couldn't help myself. Drawing Spinel cute is giving me reason to live :3

I'm gonna add a whole little comic to next chapter! Cuz my writing skills are also not too impressive really... and I do care about how emotions and action will be shown at that scene.

All went through the same.

Same torture.

One path.

One fate.

One name, with maybe different numbers after.

They gain so much in common out of nowhere. And they used to be so different!

Original differences between different Gems suddenly seem so amazing. So beautiful in a way.

Spinel knew that a good laughter brings Gems together; make someone smile - and you can become friends... She never knew that a misfortune can do just as good, or even better.

Same dreams of the past.

Same intentions to hold on and to keep up.

Same feelings.

One broken family.

Here's a little of Spins's past sneak peek.

I left Spin with same emotion and pose (gosh, when mirrored the incline is suddenly so noticeable, ugh... sorry for that) so you saw clearly the difference between 'before' and 'after'.

Spinel... reformed in yet another unknown place. Not in the Garden, but towards two shining Yellow Aventurines and two Agates she've seen before. Peach Agate looked tired and annoyed, she crossed her arms and sighed in... relief? barking something to Aventurines; they emidiately moved. White stayed as neutral as before, but her eyes seemed to be opened a tad wider, and the corners of her mouth trembled behind the high silver collar.

Everything was a blur for Spinel, the only thing constant and certain was a wild pain coursing through all her being, through her very gem. Not like how cracks hurt, this pain wasn't sharp but... maybe burning. Unbearably hurtfully burning. She wasn't hurt when they touched her here and there to examine her form yet again, though.

A bit later - when she could finally focus - she found that she was carried into another room, a small one, and she wasn't the only one tormenting there.

...Should've figured, since she was 'the last'.

In short, she was rewarded with non-stop hugs.

But the 'wind' returned to being a 'bad guy' in her mind once she realized that she can't hug him back properly.

Now try to explain her who the stars is this invisible gem and why is it pushing everyone... somewhere :/

Indeed she does, and her story is as in canon with no changes. I guess, the question appeared because of Prologue. But if you read Cpt1, you'll see that none of the CG know our girl, which would be impossible if she replaced Pink Pearl.
The answer is, Spinel was under White Diamond's control temporarily. You'll see later why and what for.
