Buzzy was not stolen by Patrick Spikes. Out of a lot of things that are kind of confusing, this is one of the things that is known, for sure. He DID steal his hat, headset and jacket, but the bot was absolutely removed by someone else. While obviously not everyone can just steal animatronic cosmetics, especially ones like Buzzy, Patrick Spikes isn't some mastermind in a heist movie. He was just someone dumb enough to do risky things like that. No offense to the man or anyone who's done Disney urbex.

Btw, if you're confused about the Buzzy animatronic story, that's okay. It's scattered all over the place. (Patrick, where's your in depth Buzzy video that you promised for Christmas?) It doesn't help that there's a ton of speculation. It's basically a telephone game at this point. Even I was confused at the start.

Here's some art of Captain Cortex's face that I did like yesterday or the day before because I was bored. It's not 100% accurate. I don't even think the antennas are supposed to be of a different height. No clue why did that. It was subconscious. Either way, it's "canon" Cortex art, which I don't do enough of, and honestly, not a lot of people do either, probably because the stuff featuring his actual cartoon design is scattered all over the place.

Because it's Shark Week, I decided to work on this stylized piece, featuring an oceanic white tip shark and short finned pilot whales... with some pilotfish added at the last minute, lol. There's this misconception online that sharks and dolphins are always enemies, when the reality is a lot more complex. While negative interactions absolutely do happen, there's also plenty of more neutral/positive ones. Oceanic white tips following pilot whales is just one example. I'm definitely planning on illustrating other known cases of sharks and dolphins coexisting. For now, just know that I still stand by the thought that both types of animals deserve respect and pitting them against each other in a "who's more wholesome" contest is counterproductive. Demonizing either of them isn't good for education or conservation. The less we generalize different types of animals based on stereotypes, the better.

Good lord, I've neglected to share these here. Here's some renders of Buzzy and Cortex. Considering how I've already started working on the plot outline for the start of the AU, these designs are finalized at this point. Moving forward, any changes will be due a natural progression of my art skills. Also, for the record, if Cortex looks smaller, these are up to scale, sorry. For the potential newcomers, Cortex is several inches taller than Buzzy in my AU.

Speaking of the plot outline for the first story, it's close to being done. Of course, I can't give an exact release date as there's a lot of work to do. Currently, there's a ton of important characters that haven't received a design yet, so that has to get sorted soon. Thankfully, I have them and their specific roles at the very least planned out.

Something fun with Rocket. It’s sort of a mini pet peeve when it comes to the depiction of animatronic mechs. Obviously, people can draw it however they like, it’s fiction after all. This is just more of a personal preference. Idk, I’m a bit fatigued by the discount Terminator look. It’s not as common of a trope these days, but it does still sort of pop up. It’s not so much that it’s not realistic, more so, it doesn’t make sense depending on the bot design.

In Rocket’s case, he’s not supposed to have teeth at all and there’s nothing in his eyes that would glow red. Of course, his mech isn’t 100% realistic, as I’m not an engineer and even if I were, certain aspects him would probably be too advanced. Example: The spine looks and functions similar to a real human spine. It’s also constantly changing in design since, over time, my personal preferences for the look evolve. What remains consistent is that his mech is based on multiple existing bots and I do try to keep all of the different movements he has in mind. The major thing that would cause a drastic change is if pics of the Buzzy animatronic’s head mech came out, since Rocket’s based on him, lol.

I’m sure I’ve uploaded the previous lineup for the main robot characters in “Soul in The Machine”. Regardless, this is the most up to date version, as I’ve revised Vinyl, Rocket and R.J.’s designs a bit. They mostly remain the same, though with subtle changes. I'm now gonna draw Vinyl with eyebrows more often, since I think it gives them more personality. I'm also gonna lean into their ear lights having multiple colors at once. Multiple emotions can be experienced simultaneously, so it would make sense if all the corresponding colors showed up depending on how their feeling.

Rocket got a bunch of changes compared to the other two. I just didn't like how skinny I made him recently, so I decided to change his design back to the chubbier look he had. Plus, the character he was originally built as isn't supposed to be skinny to begin with, although Rocket is supposed to have different body proportions so that he can actually walk.

Guess I'm doing a lot of bear-related animatronic stuff. Idk, Bear is my favorite fur color in the second release of the original Furby. Not that the other colors are bad. They just don't catch my attention as much.

Back to some stylized animatronic art with Billy Bob from the Rock Afire Explosion. Considering how I based an entire OC on him, I thought it would be fair if I drew this type of piece of him. He's not my favorite member of the RAE, but he's still special to me in some way.
