If Banban were to stay in a hellish state for too long, it could lead to thickened GV and GV clots, ultimately leading to an unavoidable heart attack/ death !!!

And it makes his final hellish form worse since he became hellish to a point of no return due to his feelings of betrayal against Syringeon, and would’ve ultimately died had he not fallen into the vat with Flumbo :)

In some way, Sy reminds Callahan of himself, which proves to be a problem since aside from being an egotistical maniac with a god complex, Callahan has got some severe self hatred due to his traumatic childhood at the hands of his father. He essentially sees Sy as a physical extension of himself (cuz Sy is Callahan, genetic wise), one that he can shape and mold into a perfect version of himself through making him a perfect tool for the facility.

Sy is a literal tool, nothing more. There’s always room for improvement, whether that be with his skills or with his behavior. If Sy shows even the slightest resistance, Callahan is gonna be there to “correct” it since he’s responsible for Sy’s every action, being his creator/caretaker and all. So long as Sy is living and functioning, Callahan is free to do whatever. His hold over Sy, and the way he treats him, is his own attempt at having control over his own life since he sees himself broken beyond repair. Course Callahan has Ricardo (Dadadoo’s donor) to remind him that he can change for the better and is deserving of happiness.
