Myrina Development (Random)

Establish that younger Myrina is arrogant and doesn’t quite understand the importance of life

Instead of being fearless it is established that her vulnerability stems from her connection with her mentor and loss of both her parents (when she was a child)

Before entering the Throne room she will break down in tears unsure of moving forward almost revolving back to her childish self

With resolve she will push forward, for her mentor, for herself, for her people

Mentor Development (Random)

No longer 35-40 years of age, now 45-55 years of age

His determination to bring peace to all clans ties together story’s antagonists, as well as why Myrina will carry on Mentor’s legacy

Myrina’s Mentor is the leader of a prestigious clan. He dies at the hands of dissenters from his own clan, in effort to protect Myrina, his student. He is probably around age 35-40 during the story. His main traits are:

Kind leader (he is a leader revered by his people. Although being a clan leader technically makes him a monarch, he leads his people with grace and kindness. Even towards those that oppose him)

Tactician (he is a master technician who has led his people to victory in the numerous battles against enemy clans. It is by his very own tactics that lead up to his demise)

Mentor (although it seems redundant, he is a caring, and inspiring mentor towards Myrina, in the end raising an even better clan leader)

Legend (his name is known amongst hundreds of clans, none dared oppose him, except those of his own)

Myrina is the main character of my story. She is the inheritor of fire from the previous generation. Myrina’s main traits are:

Angst (Being she is only about 18)

Protective (she will fight to the death for those she cares about)

Leadership (with the death of her mentor she is left in charge of her entire clan)

Deadly (Myrina was raised in and lives in a time of war)

Intelligent (she isn’t the clan leader for nothing)

Fearless (Due to being constantly involved in war, she is practically fearless)

The exposition is silent as a hooded, strong figure (Myrina) strides through the armory towards the throne room

Myrina already fully suited grabs her first piece of heavy armor, a shoulder plate and dons it

Her memory begins

Her mentor vents his frustration to a younger Myrina, he is worried that the dissenters from their clan have gone too far

Back to present, Myrina clasps her warrior’s belt around her waist

The memory resumes in a different setting, a burned village

Coming into frame a younger Myrina is pushed back, parrying a few strikes from attacking enemies who are pressing in closer

Into the center of the village Myrina falls back only to find herself back to back with her mentor (Birds Eye View perhaps) surrounded by enemies

A rumble of the building and falling rubble brings the warrior back into reality

With a sharp click a mechanical arm is pressed into Myrina’s left shoulder socket. It glows blue and releases steam as if in affirmation of the action

Picking up her mentors battle mask, she dust off soot triggering the most painful part of her memory

Upon a hill Myrina faces multiple enemies, parrying, slashing in attempt to defend herself

Myrina’s mentor rushes to her aide in fear that it may be too late

An enemy commander slashes as Myrina with murderous contempt 

The blow misses due to interference from her mentor and slashes through Myrina’s left shoulder

Gasping in pain Myrina looks upwards only to see multiple enemies engage her mentor

With an affirmative gaze towards Myrina, her mentor sacrifices himself to save her

Myrina lets out a blood curdling scream as she witnesses her mentor being impaled to death

Myrina wills herself back into the armory, she presses open the door to the throne room

Walking towards the throne her commander approaches her

He informs her that the throne room is soon to be compromised

Drawing her sword, Myrina sits down onto the throne

Placing her sword down between her legs she replies to her commander
