Emergency Commissions *Update*
Hey everyone. First of all, thanks for all the love and support so far, and for everyone who has commissioned me up to this point. You are all wonderful. <3
That said, I still need to raise some serious cash due to medical issues.TL;DR and Pricing below. But first some updates on what’s going on:
Stomach/Esophagus Issues. I just got done with a barrage of tests in preparation for upcoming surgery for a hiatal hernia, which was discovered during an endoscopy I had done several weeks ago to address reflux and throat pain as mentioned in my previous posts. My family helped pay for the most recent tests, but I am still paying off the $600 endoscopy and as of right now do not know how much the surgery will cost.
Tendonitis. My trigger thumb in my left hand is improving, albeit slowly. Fortunately this doesn’t impede my ability to draw at all, just can’t game or type for very long. (Gboard swipe keyboard is saving my ass these days.) I just got the bill for the splint and steroid shot though, which totals up to $228. Bummer.
Mental Health. I’ve been seeing my therapist regularly, and have been put on new medication which is working phenomenally. Kicks the shit out of the stuff I was on in the past. Unfortunately it’s expensive as balls compared to the $10/mo I was paying before - this shit is $110/mo. My doctor can keep me going on samples short-term, but long term I’ll have to start paying for it myself. Once the dust settles on the above, I should be able to do that no problem. Right now, though, that’s a little dubious. So once other expenses are accounted for, any further commissions will be set aside to pay for my medication in the coming months.
TL;DR: I need to raise $483 to finish paying off currently standing expenses, and then I need to continue raising funds to prepare for surgery and pay for medication. I will update with an exact cost after the procedure of course but until then I’m assuming it’s going to cost my first born.
