&&. love and war

ummmm, it’s been a bit since ive been here. a lot has happened in the past year or so. i graduated college, got a job, moved for that job, and started my master’s degree. i have decided that i really do miss rping, so i am moving ares and persephone to my multi: here. i’ll definitely keep this blog, and maybe move ares and persephone back over here if the greek myth rpc catches another wind one of these days. 

     The small goddess swept through the room ,  destruction in her wake .  Her eyes were bloodshot and tears stained her cheeks .  She had never felt so much rage in her life ,  and she was feeding on the pulsing sensation that seemed to take over her thoughts and every bodily movement .  She felt in control for once ,  something she had desired for a long time after having always been at the whim of someone else .  ❛ I will punish that bitch for even looking at my husband ,  ❜  she hissed ,  feeding into Eris’ provoking .  She stood in the middle of the room ,  hands on her hips as she took deep breaths before she sucked the lifeforce out of her own self .  Though it did nothing to help quell the rage ;  her hair must have looked like black flames of fire and her eyes took on a dark shade of red .  ❛ I wonder how she would look as a pretty potted piece on my bedside table .  Is that enough entertainment for you here in my husband’s domain ,  Eris ?  ❜ ,  she said ,  not forgetting the goddess had wound her up to this point .  But there was nothing to do about it ,  Persephone craved to carry out Eris’ urgings .  RANDOM ASK // @coronamumbras

     His skin burned with fire where her fingers touched ,  breath growing deeper as her words reached his ears .  How could he resist such temptation ?  He had never known such ignited passion unrelated to war and destruction .  Maybe that was what drew him to her ,  she made him feel things he never thought he could .  Fingers flexed ,  every ounce of resistance melting inside of him .  He could feel himself surrendering as he reached out and grabbed ahold of her .  In one swift movement he had swept her up ,  roughly ,  but carefully ,  pushing her against the nearest wall .  The halls of Olympus were eerily empty in that moment ,  except for the deafening sound of their breathing and the tension that radiated between them .  ❛ Do not tempt me ,  ❜  he spoke ,  his lips hovering mere inches from hers ,  ❛  when you have already snaked your way under my skin .  ❜  CRY BABY SENTENCE STARTERS // not accepting // @angcltouch

Charlotte had managed to take whatever pieces of him that she inherited and use them in a way none of his other children ever had .  Though he did not have a taste for her vigilante justice ,  he still found it fascinating how she found a way to take violence and good and entangle them .  Though ,  if she was a monster ,  he must have been something much ,  much worse .  For a moment ,  Ares seemed to soften as he took in her blood bathed hands .  ❛ I have known monsters ,  lead them ,  sired some ,  and even been one -- no ,  you are not a monster .  ❜

     Before I start writing up starters for Ares ,  I just want to put this here .  Ares is not a villain !  Ares often gets his ass kicked by Athena no less and is sent home to Olympus to lick his wounds .  Not a villain .  It is emphasized in Greek mythos that Ares does not start wars ,  he participates in and aids them .  Again ,  not a villain .  Ares killed his daughter’s rapist and gave no shits about it .  Is that what villains do ?  No  .  Do not underestimate Ares ,  however ,  he is the god of war after all .  He is to be feared ,  he is impulsive  ,  hot blooded ,  formidable ,  strategic ,  manipulative ,  cunning .  Afterall ,  Zeus did refer to him as the worst god on Mount Olympus .  Ares thrives on conflict ,  and always chooses the side he views as stronger or more likely to drag the conflict on  , whether the side he chooses actually wins or not .  Aside from that ,  he is generally a coward and does not take losing well .   

     The god of war sat there brooding as she encouraged him .  Having finished cleaning his sword ,  he was now mulling over it ,  turning it every so often so he could look at it from a different angle .  It was his attempt to channel the rage he felt boiling ,  and not do something he would later regret .  He could not simply start a war every time he was sent licking his wounds by one of his family .  But now that she said it ,  and the idea was floating around ,  he would likely cave to her tempting for chaos ,  disorder ,  and destruction .  The chaotic trio that always brought peace to him .  Afterall ,  why should he deny his nature -- ‘ the worst god on Olympus ’ as his father always considered him .  He was born to usher in destruction wherever he went .  He only smirked as his eyes settled on the other goddess .  Eris ,  his dear sister ,  and one of the only Olympians that had always been loyal to him .  ❛  I don’t think you would want to take part in the wars I would like to start . ❜ RANDOM ASK // @coronamumbras
