Hey there! I’m sorry it’s been so long since I last posted. I’ve been quite busy lately with other things that I haven’t really had the time to keep my blog up to date.

The good news is though, is that for the past few weeks I have been writing a Danger Days fan fiction with some of my killjoy OC’s in it. I posted it both on the MCR Amino and on AO3, so you can check it out there. I’ll leave the links here.

Being alone isn’t a good thing, no matter who you are or where you are. Especially when you have the threat of Draculoids sneaking up on you and killing you. It’s better to fight with a group rather than alone, and the only way to ensure you won’t be alone is by making some friends with your fellow killjoys. 

- Keep on the lookout for any strange behavior. Destroya only knows what measures BL/ind is going to in order to stop the killjoys, so there is a large possibility that BL/ind may be sending out spies. Any overly dramatic or overly monotone behavior should signal some red flags. If this happens to you, try to distance yourself as far as possible from them. 

- Don’t get pissed off when someone is rude to you or refuses to tell you about themselves. You don’t know what they had to go through before they got here. They are also most likely keeping the possibility of you being a spy in mind, which is why they are hesitant about giving you details about themselves. You should keep in mind the possibility of them being a spy when first meeting them.

- Try to be patient. A lot of killjoys out in the Zones are new to the whole scene, so they are probably inexperienced just like you.

I got a request on the MCR Amino to do a post on how to make a radio show. Radio Shows seem to be pretty popular among the killjoy community, so here is some tips on how to make a good radio show.

1: You need to gather the right supplies. This consists of a radio, a microphone, and a computer.

DO NOT use any type of device that you brought with you or is from Battery City. These devices are chipped and BL/ind can track its location. There are some techs I know out in Zone 2 that can remove the chip for you.

2: Download some broadcasting software to your computer. There, you can record your episodes live once you acquire a frequency.

3: I know this girl in Zone 5 that owns a radio station. You can ask her if you can host your talk show on there. She’ll probably say yes. But, if you want your own station, you can ask her for a frequency. She’ll probably say yes to that to. Her name is Sunshine Volt. 

4: If you would rather host an online radio show, you can use software such as Spotify, Bandcamp, and SoundCloud.

So, you’re out in the Zones, just minding your own business, when suddenly, a Draculoid pops out of nowhere! Now, are you going to get shot in the face and bleed to death on the sandy ground because you were too disoriented to fend it off, or are you going to beat the crap out of that thing in order to survive? Well, if you chose the latter, which I sure hope you did, then you’re going to need to learn how to fight properly. Keep in mind that I am no expert here, these are just the methods I use and other people probably have different ways of fighting, but this post is just the stuff that works for me and I hope they can work for you, to. Now, let’s begin!

For gun wielders: Run in an abstract pattern and make sure to duck a lot just in case it shoots, for this will prevent the Draculoid from getting a proper aim. Aim for the leg and shoot to keep it from following your pattern to behind it. Once behind the Draculoid, aim for the head and shoot.

For bat and knife wielders: Run in an abstract pattern, and make sure to duck a lot just in case it shoots. Run behind it and whack or stab it in the head.

Parents who become killjoy’s aren’t very common, but those who do are often faced with the daunting task of balancing both the act of being a rebel and the act of taking care of a child. Now, here is a post I hope will at least put you somewhat as ease. 

1: Make sure to pack. A lot. And make sure to pack the right things. Lots and lots of water to ensure your child does not get dehydrated, some light clothing (it gets very hot out there), some medicine (your child most likely will eventually get sick due to the extreme heat, but some basic medicine should do the trick.) Also include food, and sanitary products to manage your child’s discomfort.

2: If you’re still in Battery City, make sure you and your child get to bed on time. Make sure you have told your child to stay asleep no matter what. BL/ind sends out patrol vans at night to make sure everyone is sleeping. Don’t bother thinking that closing the curtains and shutting off the lights and locking the door will protect your family: they will know what you are hiding.

3: Also for Battery City residents, make sure your child keeps their mouth shut. Talking about the wrong things can land them in a very dark place - physically and psychologically.

4: For parent’s of young children, don’t try to sugarcoat anything when explaining the situation to your child. It will just make them more vulnerable. I know it may seem that you don’t want your precious little angel ever knowing about the possibility of being mercilessly killed by Draculoids and S/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w/s, but knowing the truth will better prepare them for a prolonged life as a killjoy. 

5: Your child will most likely be very confused about their emotions after not taking their medications for a long time, for these emotions that have been suppressed for so long will feel all new to them. Sudden emotional outbursts are common, so do not get angry with your child if they mistreat you in any way - they are just confused and are in need of some support as they make the tough transition back to normal emotional functioning. Once they start adjusting, they should calm down.

And here you have it! I hope this helped you and your child as you begin your new life!

Outside of BL/inds reign, you can find there the Danger Zones, or just “Zones” for short. 

The Zones are number from 1 to 6, and most killjoys assume these Zones are numbered based on the danger a certain one poses. In the BL/ind controlled areas, the weather is monitored to ensure citizens pleasant outdoor experience. However, those residing in the Zones are often the witnesses of unpleasantly high temperatures and other hazardous weather conditions, such as acid rain. 

Zones 1-3 should be safer than Zones 4-6 weather-wise, but since they are closer to Battery City it would most likely be subject to a higher population of Draculoids roaming around.

Zones 4-6 isn’t very comfortable, at least not when you’re outside, but you can be a tad bit relieved to know that Draculoids don’t pose as high of a threat.

For my killjoy friends who have yet to escape Battery City, here is a list of some things that may help you, as well as some things to avoid.

1: Leave in the daytime. At night, BL/ind sends out patrol vans to ensure that everyone is asleep during curfew. These vans can detect even the slightest signs of you being awake, so it is too dangerous to leave during this time.

2: If you live with other people, no need to worry about them calling the police or looking for you. Their "happy pills" should suffice and they most likely won't even notice your absence.

3: For those of you who are worried about having to look for your necessities out in the Zones, you can bring a backpack. Nothing too big, and nothing too heavy. You're going to do a lot of moving around, and it's not fun nor safe when you have to lug around a big sack full of stuff.

4: DO NOT bring any sort of electronic device. BL/ind can track the devices location and therefore would be able to find you and either kill you or take you in.

5: And last but not least, DO NOT forget to bring a weapon. As I mentioned in my previous post, trust me, you're going to need it. If you don't have anything effective, like a gun, a large knife could do until you find some other killjoys out there who can supply you one or information on where to get one.

With the release of Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys back in 2010, the MCR fandom went from the gloomy atmosphere of The Black Parade to a whole new world of colors, art, and the much-needed upbeat hits. Many of these fans retired the name of the MCRmy and instead indentified with the name “Killjoy’s”. 

Now, it’s been 9 years since it all began, and a lot of you guys have already decided where you stand with your killjoy identities. But for some of you who have just recently joined the fandom or have not yet figured out your killjoy identity, here are some tips that might come in handy!

@fandoms-till-the-end-of-the-line also made a pretty good post of advice for killjoys staying in the desert. If you can’t find it on their profile I also re-blogged it.

#1: Create a killjoy name. You don’t need to go completely over-the-top with it, but try to make it unique! If you are having a hard time thinking of one on your own, there are some templates online that might hatch some ideas.

#2: Go online to get some ideas for what you would wear out in the Zones. I recommend Pinterest because it gives you the ability to save and organize images, but if that isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of other websites out there that can serve the same purpose. Make your outfit stand out! Art is a weapon, after all.

#3: Weapons! You’re gonna need to defend yourself out there, so why not get some ideas? From guns to kitchen knives, as long as you can make it work. (Kids don’t actually kill people that’s illegal) :-)

#4: Vehicles! You’re gonna need a way to get around the Zones. Why not go steal a car or motorcycle or whatever else you can possibly think of? (But kids don’t actually steal cars that’s also illegal)
