Damn I haven't touched this since i was 18?? that might change but i need to get my hands on a camera, and after that i think I'm going to rebrand this place.

Need to find places to photograph too. Now that I've moved out and into my own place, this area feels comparatively strange and unfamiliar.

May start writing too. Some may find their way on here, I'm not sure yet.

I don't remember anyone following me, and even if there were, nearly a decade can change a lot, but if you do see this, hi! I hope I can make art that'll make you feel something, even just a little.

Do you ever just get like a writer's block but for photography? Like say you really really want to go out and take pictures but once you've got the camera and everything you're just like "what now?". You feel like the pictures you're currently taking aren't going to turn out good and you have 0 inspiration so you're just snapping shots are every random thing you see? Because I get like that a lot and it is so frustrating!

YES YES YES. I feel like every photographer will experience this at least once in their life. Sometimes it’s just for a week, sometimes I feel like it’s for months (like me rn tbh).

I think, to get over it, the same rules apply as for writers block. Take some time off - step away from the camera. Pick up another hobby. Go on a hike but leave the camera at home. Try photographing something WAY out of your wheelhouse or comfort zone.

For me, now that I live in the city and don’t have a car, it’s more an issue of actually getting out or setting dedicated photography-time aside.

It was fun, messing around with lowlight/night photography.

All of those images I just posted were from a trip to and from a wedding in Wollongong with my dad and his girlfriend last weekend. It was nice. I’ll be messing around with lowlight/night photography again next week or the week after, because school holidays and stuff. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
