Concept: Ink marks (similar to tattoos) are on your body, When your soulmate is in the vicinity, it’ll slowly move, as if reaching out. When you two touch, the tattoos will connect.
I really like bullet fics, so this little series will be written in this form :)

There was always a thin, red marking starting at the crook of your arm
It never moved compared to those around you. You always kept staring at it, wondering if it at least grew a cm or something
But it never did. It was just this small, red dash on your arm that looked like a rash. Of course, it wasn’t
Unlike those around you that had different ways of meeting their soulmate, yours consisted of a red inked marking that were to grow and connect when you meet your soulmate
You haven’t and it makes you feel kind of...hopeless in a way
Your friends had the same thing as you and managed to meet their soulmate. You watched the way the red marking crossed along her arm and onto the palm of her hand, trailing across her middle finger, the the tip forming a bow that connected to her soulmates that finished the rest
It was a pretty sight and actually made you eager to find your soulmate as soon as you can
It was always an exciting feeling to find the other half that’s missing and seeing the inking grow slowly and ultimately connect with the one you’re destined to be with, was something you hope you would get to experience soon
Namjoon sort of felt the same, but didn’t want to rush it
He just shrugs his shoulders at the concept and lets time decide for when he will meet his soulmate
His friends would bug him, wondering why he can’t be somewhat excited that his literal half is out there in the world probably thinking about him
Namjoon, once again, just shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t understand the hype about meeting your soulmate
They were just a regular person - how is one person able to make the other feel something they don’t feel with anyone else?
“My soulmate will come whenever time tells,” he would often say.
But to be honest, Namjoon was afraid. He fell for a someone that had a soulmate.
And when he fell, I mean he fell. Hard. He was madly in love with this person. It hurt him though - he knew he couldn’t be with them.
Everyone in this world had someone and Namjoon didn’t want to meet his soulmate anytime soon. That’s why he’s so nonchalant about the idea and even hesitant to go outside
But every so often, he would stare at the inked marking on his right arm, seeing that it has barely moved. He would gaze at it for quite some time, actually wondering about what will he feel if it suddenly just started to move. Will he run out and find his soulmate?
One day after work, you went to a new cafe that just opened right near your job. It was in a corner, kind of hidden from everything else.
When you entered, it was a nice modern, wooden aesthetic and had lots of succulents and plants. It felt like walking into a Studio Ghibli movie.
You ordered a vanilla latte and situated yourself in an open seat, taking out your laptop. As you sat down, waiting for your latte, a stranger who sat at the table beside you quickly got up, scaring you a bit as his empty coffee cup nearly fell onto the floor.
“Oh god, I’m going to be late,” he muttered as he ran out of the cafe.
You watched him go and then stared back at where he sat, seeing he left a small notebook. You grabbed it and flipped through the pages, seeing song lyrics and ideas for music.
You bit your lower lip, wondering if you should chase after him and hand him the notebook. It seemed pretty important due to how worn out it was and the many pages were filled with quick, messy writing and scribbles.
You quickly stood up and left the cafe, wondering where you should go. Where should you turn. You decided to go back towards the main roads of the city. You basically ran wherever, hoping you’d find this stranger.
You then nearly rammed into someone and fell back until his arm reached out and grabbed yours to prevent you from falling
You looked up at him to see his hair messily flying everywhere. Was he running back to the cafe to get his small notebook?
“Um, your notebook! You, uh, left it,” you said, handing it to him.
Namjoon took it from your hand and sighed in relief.
“I was nearly going to have a heart attack when I realized it wasn’t in my bag. Thanks,” he said, giving you a smile as you saw a dimple form. It was cute and you blushed a bit.
“N-No problem. The book seems important,” you said.
Namjoon flipped through the notebook and nodded. Before he even spoke, he saw the red inking on his right arm completed.
“Oh! You met your soulmate?” you asked, seeing the finished ink on his arm. He chuckled. Maybe you were so caught up trying to find him, you didn’t realize yours was completed as well
“Yeah. Recently! I didn’t expect us to meet the way we did, but I’m glad. And the more I look at her, the more I realize that she’s kind of...cute.”
The blush in your cheeks became redder. Did you hear him right?
“Huh? What?” you asked.
Namjoon took your hand and showed you the finished red ink. It flowed down your arm, across the palm of your hand, trailed to your middle finger, and you watched how it connected to Namjoon’s.
“O-Oh!” you said, laughing at how you didn’t notice it earlier.
“I’m Namjoon, by the way.”
“y/n! Nice to meet you,” you smiled widely.
And as you gave a bright smile at Namjoon, he finally understood why people were so excited to meet their soulmate. You were literally beaming in front of him, nearly out of breath with pink cheeks, and somewhat messy hair as well. But he found it cute and he thanked the world for letting him meet someone like you.
“So...if you’re not busy...would you like to hear what’s in this book?” he asked, pulling out the small notebook from his bag.

Hanahaki Disease: a fictional disease where the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love.It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim’s romantic feelings for their love also disappear.
I decided to try something new and write this scenario in bullet form! Enjoy!
- Admin Sun
You always loved flowers, but never knew that you would suffer from them
You have always been in love with Jeon Jungkook, your childhood best friend
You both were at the age of five when you both met. It all happened when you complimented his favorite red sneakers he wore on the first day of school, which ultimately won over his heart.
He then enthusiastically asked you to be his friend and you were like “okay” because why would you say no to someone like Jungkook?
Ever since that day, you both became very close and did everything together
On weekends, you both went to the nearby pond in your neighborhood to catch tadpoles
On other days you both would spend it indoors watching movies or playing video games
There was never a day that went by where you both weren’t together
As you got older, you began to notice certain traits and quirks that made Jungkook the person you fell in love with
He was always kind, sweet, sincere, and also the biggest, weirdest dork you’ll ever meet. He never fails to make you laugh and you always have a smile on your face whenever he’s around
He was basically a perfect human in your eyes - a gift from above
As your love grew for Jungkook, so did the distance between you both
Jungkook came running to you one day after class ended, telling you about this girl he has been talking to for quite some time and was wondering if you could help set the two up
The way he asked you, hands clasped together, eyes full of hope, made you feel uneasy
He liked someone else...someone that wasn’t you
And you hated the fact that you knew - that you weren’t the one that made him feel this amount of happiness that this mysterious girl did
You felt your throat itch and burn. Your stomach was rupturing in pain and your heart was swelling up. Then you felt your lungs being constricted within your body.
Before you could say anything to Jungkook, you ran to the bathroom, barged into an empty stall, and bent over the toilet, seeing crimson red roses fall into the waters, along with a few droplets of blood
With the sight of flowers and blood before you, you sat down and knew what you were suffering from.
It was hanahaki - a disease that results from a one-sided love
It was ironic, though, to see red roses before you when they’re represented as the symbol of love
You slowly pushed yourself up off of the floor and left the bathroom to find a worried Jungkook standing outside of the bathroom
“What happened?! Are you okay?! Do you need to go to the nurse’s office?”
“I’m fine. I just..didn’t feel too good. But I’m better.”
He then asked you once again if you wanted to see the nurse incase it happens again, but you shook your head and ignored his words
“What were you saying earlier again?”
Jungkook looked at you, seeing that you made up your mind, and didn’t question it. He knew how stubborn you were when you make a decision and stuck with it
So he proceeds to ask you what he did earlier and even though you wanted to deny helping him, something in you made you agree to help him
“I’ll do it,” you said, feeling the flowers climb up your throat
Jungkook then smiled widely, thanked you, and then told you he had to run
As he left, you slowly fell onto the floor, coughing up more rose petals as you heard your breathing become muffled. Every breath you took was just the feeling of flowers growing within your lungs, making breathing difficult and even painful
You then pushed yourself off the floor and left school, seeing the sky in a gray, bleak color, just adding to your bitter mood
It then became darker and you felt raindrops fall on you one by one before it became more rapid. As people around you bustled to the nearest place before getting soaked, you continued to walk in the rain
You were too numb to do anything. All you could think about was Jungkook and how his heart belonged to someone else. Was it pathetic for you to think that maybe there was an opportunity for you to be with him?
A bitter laugh escaped your lips. Why are you thinking such thoughts when Jungkook has never seen you as nothing more than just a friend
Soon enough, the rain stopped soaking your clothes and hair. You looked up to find an umbrella over you and then Jungkook by your side
“I had a feeling you’d be walking home in the rain. That’s why I headed to the convenience store to buy an umbrella. And it was pure luck that you didn’t walk too far.” A warm smile was followed after his sentence
These little actions where Jungkook does small, little things like this just added to the pain aching in your heart and the irritating feeling in your lungs
You tried your best not to cough. “T-Thanks...it’s like you always...come and save me at the right moments.”
Just talking to him made your throat itch and burn.
“Always. Anything for you.”
You both continued to walk in silence, only hearing the soft patters of rain around the two of you
Despite feeling like your whole body is going to fall apart, you never wanted this moment to end. You love being with Jungkook. It’s like the whole world is in balance whenever you’re with him. It’s a warm and fuzzy feeling - like being wrapped in a blanket on a cold winter’s day
You then arrived at your house and Jungkook handed you the umbrella, dashing into his own house which was right next to yours. You laughed as you watched him hurry into his home, but then began to cough. Even the feeling of happiness erupts another explosion of flowers from your lungs
You ran into your house, kneeling on the floor as you coughed up more petals and blood. The pain was unbearable and you felt tears fall out of the corner of your eyes. You took a deep breath and sighed, standing up slowly as you cleaned the mess of flowers and blood
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned into months. Eventually, you both were in your next year of university
This time, instead of spending time with Jungkook, you spent your time alone as he was with his girlfriend often. You never really go to see Jungkook as much as you did before. The only time you did was during the summer before the fall semester
You would be sitting on your back deck, reading a book. Jungkook then appeared and hopped over your gate, walking up to you with his warm, friendly grin. He then took a seat beside you and proceeded to ask how was your summer so far, what were you reading, and also added in an apology for abandoning the most important person in his life
The phrase felt like a stab to the back and you felt your lungs nearly collapse. You suppressed your cough and listened to Jungkook talk about his relationship with his girlfriend, seeing this new side of happiness to him.
There was something about the way his eyes twinkled and his lips curved into an effortless smile that differed from the way you would affect his upbeat mood
He was in love - in love with someone that wasn’t you. He felt different types of feelings with his girl than you. He felt something you could not manage to do the many years of being friends with him.
And it hurt - it hurts so damn much
But being upset and unsupportive is the last thing Jungkook would want. So you tortured yourself and told him how happy you were, and perhaps one day you would like to meet the girl that made Jungkook feel this way
Though that was the last memory you had with Jungkook, you still couldn’t help but miss him and also admit you’re still in love with him
Flowers continued to grow and wrap your lungs. It’s been a while since you had hanahaki and wondered how long you could keep it up before it ultimately takes your life
Your neck often had scratches from the constant rose petals you keep coughing up and it got to the point where you needed to go to the emergency room
The doctor came up to you after doing a few tests and said that given a few more weeks, you could be dead. The roses and its vines have begun to wrap almost every part of your lungs, making it almost impossible to breathe
The only way to prevent this is to get surgery.
You knew that was the only way considering there wasn't a chance or opportunity that perhaps Jungkook could ever return your love. You kept this disease hidden and suffocated it until it continued to hurt you even more because you were desperate
Somewhere in your heart, you felt like that maybe...maybe the world will be in your favor - that maybe there is a small chance to be with Jungkook
But you knew it would not happen. You were dying all because you avoided going to the hospital to seek help. And the last thing you wanted to be told was to get surgery and forget the feeling of loving Jungkook
With the way things were now, you decided to go for it and scheduled it for the week after.
Maybe this was it. Maybe this was meant to be. Maybe the world didn’t want you to be with Jungkook at all. Maybe he was never yours to begin with.
A week passed and it was the day before your surgery. You invited Jungkook to the old park you both practically went to every single day when you both were younger.
The pond was still there, tadpoles hiding under the vibrant green lily pads as a few lotus blossoms began to bloom under the moon’s light
You then walked from the waters and sat on the swing set, swaying back and forth until you heard rapid footsteps come towards you
“Hey! Am I late?” he asked, almost out of breath
You shook your head. “Not at all.”
Jungkook sat beside you, swaying back and forth as well as he chuckled to himself, saying how it has been so long since he last stepped foot here. Memories of the two of you running around this park and spending much of it in the pond replayed in your head.
What did you feel? Freedom...happiness...bliss...joy...
You’ll always feel these...but not anymore with Jungkook
“The moon is so bright tonight! It’s almost a light, pale blue color,” he said, head tilting towards the sky. You didn’t look at it, though. Your mind was elsewhere.
“You look spaced out. Something’s on your mind?”
Were you ready to tell him?
“I need you to listen and not talk until I’m done,” you finally spoke.
Jungkook’s joyful facade faded away. His eyes looked at you worriedly
“I...am getting surgery tomorrow...and wanted to spend the last day with you where I remember the feelings of...loving the boy I grew up with.”
Your eyes were welling up in tears as you coughed into the palm of your hand, petals and blood falling together
“I have...hanahaki and whenever I cough, rose petals appear.”
You showed him the palm of your hand that was warm with roses that were completely soaked in blood. Your symptoms have worsened and all that you could cough up was majority of blood rather then rose petals
“You get this disease...as a result from a one-sided love. I...I found out the day..you wanted me to help you w-win the girl of your...dreams.”
Your speech was drawn out slowly due to your shortness of breath and your eyes practically letting a waterfall stream down your face
“The moment I left to the bathroom..the day you asked me to h-help you...I violently coughed up these petals and knew that there was no way...you’ll ever love me.”
You grabbed a tissue from the pocket of your coat and cleaned your hands, the white paper soaked in red. You then wiped your tears away and took a deep breath
“This whole time...I tortured myself in hopes that one day you’ll love me. But...it was a mistake. I barely saw you and you’re always talking about her. So that’s why I’m getting surgery tomorrow...and I’ll never be able to love you again.”
You coughed up some more rose petals along with a few splatters of blood here and there. You looked up to see Jungkook staring directly at you, eyes dark, but you could read what he felt at that exact moment: hurt, anger, disappointment, and sadness
“y/n,” he said, his hand slowly going to your face as his finger wiped away a droplet of tear that came rolling down the side of your face, “please stop crying.” His voice was barely audible to your ears
“It hurts me to see this way. It hurts because I was the cause of your pain and suffering.”
He then took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. “I’m sorry...I never loved you the way you loved me. I’m sorry you had to go through so much pain, seeing me happy when your happiness matters more. B-But...wouldn’’t be best to get the surgery? What’s the point of loving me? I hurt you for almost an entire year, y/n. I nearly killed you.”
You didn’t know what to say. So you stood up, hands shoved into the pockets of your hoodie
“It’s okay, Jungkook. I’m just sad that whenever I’m around you, I can’t feel happiness or sadness or anger or even love. I won’t feel anything. I’l feel all sorts of things around others...but when I’m with you...the person I care the most about in this world...it won’t be the same. The memories we made - I’ll remember them. But I’ll forget what it feels like. That’s why I’m so sad.”
Jungkook now looked like he was about to cry and shook his head. He didn’t realize that going with the surgery would mean losing all feeling for the one who didn’t return the love back. He didn’t want this at all
“No. I can’t let you do that, y/n. I don’t want to be the only one in our relationship that remembers how it feels to be around each other. It’s like in return of your relief from suffering, I carry the burden of what’s left...I don’t want to see you looking at me with a blank expression. I don’t want to see you looking at me who easily bought a smile to your face, with nothing but an empty look. Please...”
You then walked up to Jungkook and wrapped your arms around his frame. “It’s going to be fine, Jungkook. I’ll still be your best friend.”
“But my best friend would never forget how to feel around me...my best friend would never forget what to do to make me happy when I’m sad, or calm when I’m angry.”
You then pulled apart and saw him wipe his reads away. It broke your heart even more and you fell to the ground, clutching your shirt near your chest as you coughed more and more, petals and blood gushing out all at once.
Then, everything went black
Hours later, you woke up in a hospital room, seeing Jungkook sitting right beside your bed, fast asleep. You let your hand run through his hair gently and he stirred in his sleep. He then woke up and looked at you, rubbing his eyes.
“How are you feeling? Do you need the nurse?” he asked, his voice deep and raspy from the slumber he had just awoken from.
“I’m...fine,” you said quietly.
“You really scared me back there. All I saw was a pool of red in front of you and I was nearly screaming on the phone for help,” he said with a breath of laughter, “but you’re fine...everything’s fine...”
You felt a minor headache interrupt your thoughts as you rubbed your forehead. “What happened?” you asked.
“I love you. That’s what happened.”
Your eyes widened and Jungkook laughed at your surprised expression.
“I love you, y/n. When you fell onto the floor and had me so scared, you were coughing up remnants of rose petals in your system. Me worrying...about never being with my best friend made who makes me feel like the luckiest guy ever, made me realized that I loved you more...than that.”
So Jungkook saved you. He then handed you a jar of petals that were in an ombre color from dark red to pink. They were actually beautiful.
“The doctor said the change in color shows that the one you love has learned to love you back.”
You sank back into your bed, holding onto the jar and staring at Jungkook who had a new expression on his face. This time, he looked at you as if you held the entire world in your eyes.
He then bent down to kiss your forehead, your cheeks, and then you lips, making you giggle at his affection.
“I love you too,” you said.
“Ah, I already know that. Now it’s my turn to tell you that,” he said. You then moved over a bit to make room for Jungkook. He got beneath the thin covers of the hospital blanket as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you in close.
The jar of petals, a majority of them in their changing color sequence from red to pink, sat on the desk besides the bed, a reminder that Jungkook loves you as much as you love him

We rode into a local town and decided to spend a night here. The sun was out and the heat was really getting to us. We placed our horses in the stables of the inn before entering. I asked for a two bedroom room and the innkeeper gave us a funny look. The Princess was minding her own business as I rolled my eyes and just handed her the money before grabbing the key. We then trailed up the stairs and into our room where we placed our things onto the bed.
"You can use the bathroom to change into something lighter. I'll change out here," I said.
"Okay. I'll say something when I finish so I don't walk in on you still changing," she said, making me chuckle.
"Sure thing." She then went into the bathroom and I sighed, taking off my military suit and tossing it to the side. That thing was heavy, thick, and made me sweat at least a river. I sighed, putting on a pair of jeans and a white button up. I then laced up my combat boots and felt so much better. Although traveling through the summer seemed like a good idea, it was horrible in the day. The amount of sweat I'm producing is insane.
She then knocked on the door and I told her she can come out. She tossed her riding gear to the side and wore a long skirt with some lace, white top, paired with strapped sandals. Her hair was kept down, wavy at that. I found myself staring for a bit until I looked away, staring out the window.
"The morning market is still open. Let's grab something to eat," I suggested, seeing her nod as she grabbed her satchel.
"Good, because I am starving."
We left the inn and walked out the door. I made sure she stuck beside me incase creepy guys would want to walk up to her. The market was busy, people running back and forth as the salespeople kept screaming out their daily deals. They motioned everyone to stop by their stand, not quieting down till they have at least one customer. I looked at the Princess, seeing she wasn't fazed by any of this. She looked relaxed and calm as usual. She then grabbed my hand, making this bolt of electricity flow through my arm.
"There! Let's get our breakfast there," she said, dragging me to some stand that sold fresh pastries. I glanced at all of them, seeing that a red bean bun sounded amazing.
"One red bean bun please," I said before looking at the Princess. She was still staring at the display of pastries before deciding on a bun filled with fresh cream and strawberries. She pointed to that one and also asked for one big bowl of mixed fruit and two pouches of water. I was about to pay till she handed the old woman the exact change.
"Hey. I know you're trying to be nice and all, but as your escort, I'm supposed to make sure you don't pay a thing," I said, a bag handed to us. She eagerly got out her bun.
"Jungkook, I'm used to everyone doing everything for me. At least let me repay you back once in a while."
I sighed, feeling her grab my hand and lead us to this shady meadow not too far from the market. We sat under a tree, seeing families out with their children, enjoying themselves as well. I took a bite of my bun, the taste of sweet red bean spilling over my tongue. God it's been forever since I had a decent one.
"This is pretty good," I said, mouth half full. The Princess looked at me before laughing. I blushed at the fact I probably looked like an idiot in front of her.
"Yeah? Can I try?" she asked. My eyes widened as I glanced down at the bite I took, my germs and spit all over it and the most proper girl out here in the entire world wants some of my disgusting bodily fluids?
"Are you sure? I mean--"
"I'll let you take a bite of mine," she said, offering me her pastry. I guess she didn't care. So we traded our sweets, took a bite, and was super satisfied at how fresh and lightly sweetened it was.
"Man, I hope we run into more pastry stands," I said, handing her the pastry back. She nodded, staring into the sky, seeing it in a plain blue with scattered clouds here and there. We continued eating, finishing our buns before eating the bowl of fruit. I saw kiwi in the mix and shoved it to the side. I wasn't fond of the taste of extreme bitterness and I hated the way it made my tongue feel.
"Do people out here recognize you?" I wondered, shoving a piece of strawberry into my mouth.
She shrugged. "I really don't know. I mean, if someone did recognize me, I'm sure we wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves right now. But I like it though; not being recognized amongst a small town of people? It's nice."
The wind gently blew a breeze over us as her hair flowed towards the back before it fell upon her shoulders. She then turned to me, making me tense up again. Maybe I'm so tensed around her because my manners are far no where near her, so that makes me self-conscious about the way I present myself in front of her.
"Should we explore town?" she suggested. I nodded, the both of us taking a good gulp of our water before I placed into my backpack. We then threw our trash into the bin and left the market, heading into the actual town. I didn't know where we were or even knew a town like this existed. I just followed the path I planned and we happened to walk right in here. It was a good break though, from sleeping on the hard ground and constantly having to make a fire every night.
We entered town, seeing various of shops and homes pressed together. The roads were paved in brick with little wild flowers growing out between them, creating a mystical-forest feeling. I stared at the stores, reading their signs from the local farmer's market to a floral shop to even small boutiques full of bright, colored dresses. I kept an eye on the Princess, seeing her look all over before stopping in front of an antique jewelry story. She stared through the glass, seeing the jewels sparkle under the display before pushing herself away and kept on walking.
"Jungkook, look!" she said, pointing out to a crowd yelling and screaming at each other. If I'm right, that was some sort of street brawl going on. I held her hand as we walked to the commotion, staying a few feet away from it. There were two guys in the middle, fighting it out and using various forms of street fighting skills. The crowd was made up of men and women, screaming on who they wanted to win. I'm sure there was some bet involved.
"Let's just keep going and avoid this," I said, seeing her nod. I still held onto her hand as we avoided the little fight and continued walking.
"What was that?" she asked.
"A street brawl. Or a skiz, to be exact," I answered.
"A skiz?"
"Yeah. It's basically street fighting and people bet on you. If you win, the money gets split among the people and also the fighter."
"Wow. Have you ever been in a skiz before? I mean, it sounds like...you know your stuff," she said.
"A few times, actually," I admitted, "but it was a while ago."
We then stopped, looking around us and seeing we were in some darker part of town. I suggested we turn around until this huge, buff guy and his friends surrounded us.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Princess and her little body guard," spoke the guy I bumped into. I stood close to the Princess, holding her back as I glared at him.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"We're just wondering why you both are coming into our side of town," said another.
"We were just walking and lost track of where we were going. So let us pass through and we'll leave."
They all laughed. I knew this wasn't going to end easy.
"How much do you think the Princess will sell on the market?" spoke the tallest one. My eyes widened as I felt her instantly grab onto my arm.
"Princess, run!" I said, pushing her off of me as she quickly ran. One guy chased her as I sighed and tried to beat the others as fast as I can. Their moves were quick, hard to dodge, but I was faster. I could see the frustration on their faces as I continued to dodge it, hearing them yell at me to stop. I chuckled. Who stands still in a fight? I then got bored, kneed one in the face and threw the other at his friend. I then grabbed the third guy by the arm and flipped him over, running away and wondering where the Princess could have gone. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to tell her to run.
"Jungkook!" she yelled. I came to a halt, wondering where she could be.
"Up here!" she said, on the rooftops of an apartment.
"How did you..."
"Just get up here! We can't stay here any longer," she said, holding her hand out for me. I stepped back, putting a good amount of distant from me before running. I jumped up and grabbed onto one of the ledges, climbing up the side of the building before grabbing her hand as I felt her drag me up.
"Okay, just keep going straight from here and we'll be back at the market. Can you do it?" I asked. She nodded.
"I-I'll try."
I nodded and led the way. I kept turning back to see her leap across buildings easily and also manage to slide down the rooftops and jump onto the ledges. There was a big leap ahead and I gulped, pushing myself down the steep rooftop before jumping onto the other building, the gutters breaking loose as I let out a panic of scream before quickly pushing myself up. I was out of breath, my heart beating as I saw the guys below catching up.
"Oh my god, are you okay?!" she asked.
"I'm fine! Now do what I did! I'll catch you!"
I can see her face go a ghostly white color as she held onto her skirt. She looked terrified, all color lost as she stared at the roof and then at me.
"Trust me, Princess. I'll catch you!"
She then gave a slight nod before running and sliding down the rooftop, eyes wide and full of panic before she jumped off. She reached for my hand and I caught her, pulling her up. Her knees were shaking and I felt horrible to have decided to stick to escaping above ground.
"Let's just keep going," she said, running ahead of me. I nodded, leading the way and deciding to climb down from the buildings and cut through the forest and head back to the market. I jumped down and tumbled, staring up and seeing the Princess jump as well, falling into my arms as I gently placed her down, holding her hand as I motioned to the forest. We ran through it, hearing only our rapid footsteps. We then came to a halt, looking behind us before we both sighed. She then started to laugh which made me look at her weirdly.
"Why...are you laughing?" I asked, catching my breath.
"We did it! We escaped the bad guys! That was the best feeling ever! The-The energy and adrenaline building inside was just...wow," she exclaimed, laughing even more. I stared at her before joining her.
"You really are something," I sighed, leaning against a tree.
"What's that supposed to mean?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Nothing. Let's go before they actually find us."
We finally arrived back at the market and decided to not stay the night at the inn. We grabbed our things and left, trying to escape from the near death experience we just had. I didn't understand though, why she thought that whole chaotic escape was fun and exhilarating. I actually thought I was going to die and that she was going to be captured and have her life taken away before her. But she did have a point - the adrenaline building up and the excitement of escaping was breathtaking - in a good way, of course. It was slowly bringing back lost memories; of my younger self escaping the people I used to steal from just to survive another day.
The sun was beginning to set and we just continued riding until it did get dark and we had to stop and set up camp. I glanced at the Princess, seeing her stare at the ground before looking at me. This time, I didn't look away.
"Are you doing okay?" I asked.
She nodded. "I'm fine. I'm just...even though we escaped them, do you think they'll come after us?"
I shrugged. "I hope not. But I highly doubt they would come this far to track us down. Don't worry about it too much."
"Well, what if they do?" she asked. I sighed and looked at her.
"Hey, you're with the best Student in the entire military of your kingdom. I can easily take them down," I proudly said, seeing her hold back a laugh.
"Sorry. It's just, you're very confident. It's not a bad thing, though. I actually admire it."
We held each other's gaze till I quickly broke it and decided we set up camp. It was awkward since I refused to look at her or even say anything. And I hoped she understood why. As the Princess was making the fire, I stared at the map, marked where we were, and saw that our first week was coming to and end. So far, this week has been somewhat of an interesting journey. We hadn't reach a town until today and ever since we left, we just encountered more landscapes, empty towns, wild forests, and a waterfall which we did stop at to wash up and take a breather before continuing. It wasn't that bad until we reached that town. I would've never guessed to be running after a group of guys wanting the Princess on the market, but I guess it was expected. People like that exist and it worries me that we can't sleep peacefully anymore. I wonder if they would follow us just to get to her.
I made more notes onto the map, deciding to change our route that would probably extend the journey, but it would ensure her safety. I sighed, seeing her joining me by the fire. She wore a sweater over her lace top before warming up by the fire.
"I'll take first watch. Get some rest," I said. She was surprised by my words.
"First watch?"
I nodded. "Whatever happened today...there is a chance something could happen to us. So, I'll take first watch and we'll alternate."
She bit her lower lip before looking at me in an apologetic way. "I feel like this is all my fault."
"No, it's not. Things happen, okay? Just don't let this get to you and rest."
"But Jungkook--"
"Princess, please. Just go to sleep."
She looked at me, defeated as she sighed and lied down, back against me once again. The fire crackled under the moon light as I sat against a tree, my weapon beside me. The sky was dark as usual, lit up by tiny specks and fireflies flying around us. I decided to let the fire die down, since it was getting weak by the second. I didn't mean to shut her down so fast, but I didn't want her to think everything is her fault. I mean, I understand the reason she thinks that she caused this mess, but really, anything could happen. I needed to protect her.
boyfriend! tae typa scenario plsss u guys both go to the same college and he sits behind u and always admires u but doesnt say anything so u dont even know him but one day he notices u were falling in and out of sleep during a lecture and after that lecture he goes and buys u a cup of coffee... (continue from there) 🤗
Second row. Third seat from the end. First class of the day. 9:00AM. Was it weird that Taehyung kind of remembered your schedule and exact seat every morning class? He’d always watch you walk in, nervously glancing away as you made quick eye contact with him before sitting down and sighing. By the dark circles under your eye and the ballcap on your head, Taehyung guessed you were up late last night. He pouted to himself. It wasn’t fun seeing you like this.
You yawned to yourself once more, resting your chin in the palm of your hand as you felt your eyes grow heavy. It was another night of rigorous studying for your organic chem midterm and you were ready to jump off a building any minute now. Everyone knew orgo was hard and even the university you attended knew that the highest grade on the exams was a “60.” Yet, nothing can be done to make the material easier because the concept was just difficult to understand. Thus, your sleep schedule was entirely gone. What was a sleep schedule anyway? People still had those?
You yawned once again and saw your psych professor walk in, ready to start a new lesson. Taehyung already saw you dozing in and out before he could even begin his lesson. Usually Tae doesn’t take notes because he’s a genius and one of the smartest students in class. Every psych test, he aces. He even is on top of his math and science classes too. Everyone knew him and how much of an intelligent being he is, and yet he couldn’t get you to notice him at all - even if he is sitting a row behind you. So he took this chance to take down the notes of this lecture since he knew you’d always wrote down the notes on the slide shows. And then afterwards, maybe he could buy you a cup of coffee or something. That was the plan he intended on.
Halfway through the class, you were passed out, head buried within your notebook. Taehyung couldn’t help but chuckle as you were just gone. Whatever you did last night must’ve stressed and worn you out. Your professor didn’t seem to mind that you were asleep and in fact, there were a couple of those that were also asleep. At least you showed up to class rather than skip. And plus, he knew that there was some correlation between the students that were asleep.
“Um, why are most of my students taking organic chem this semester asleep? Was there a major test or something?” he spoke up.
You immediately shot up and looked at him, feeling as dead as ever.
“Y-Yeah,” you replied, rubbing your eye, “there’s an exam later today.”
Your teacher gave a nod, wished you all luck, and presumed with his lesson. You felt your eyes grow tired and fell back asleep. Taehyung stared at you, now understanding that it was that difficult chemistry class that was keeping you from being awake. Taehyung rested his chin in the palm of his hand, wishing he would’ve asked if he could study with you. After all, he is in your chemistry class. You just haven’t noticed him because he’s towards the back, zoning out the lesson because he’s that much of a genius and understands it all.
To be quite honest, you knew Taehyung existed and you knew how smart he was. You were just too timid and shy to say anything or even ask for help. Everyone knew how smart he was and whisked him away for help before you could even walk up to him. So most of the time, you utilized the tutoring sessions at your school or searched the web for hours, looking for a decent video to help. It made you feel sad though, because you heard how many people said Taehyung helped explain the material and simple terms and how aside from being the smartest person in the entire world, he was a genuinely nice, sweet guy. No wonder every girl that comes across him fawns over his existence.
You felt a tap on your shoulder and saw that it was your professor. “Class is over, ______. Why don’t you rest some more before taking your chem exam?” he suggested.
“I’d love to, but the exam is next. Also sorry for falling asleep,” you said, packing away your things.
“It’s fine. Good luck!”
You gave a nod and left right away. Taehyung watched you leave and followed after since you both did share the same chemistry class too. As you walked into the lab, you took a deep breath and exhaled, pulling out your water bottle and drinking it before settling down. Once everyone made it, the exam began. You stared at the questions and flipped through it, shocked that you knew most of the answer. But instead of getting too excited, you did each problem slowly and diligently, making sure you didn’t make any small mistakes.
About an hour into the two hour time period you were given, Taehyung was the first one to stand up and turn in his work before leaving. You watched him pass you and stared at him. As he handed the exam in, he turned slightly and made eye contact with you, gave a smile, and left. Your eyes widened as you felt your heart shake in your chest. You quickly went back to your exam and repeatedly told yourself to focus and that you were almost done. Once the exam is over, you can head back to your dorm and sleep until the next day.
You finished five minutes before the period was over and in fact, was the only student left in the room. As you handed in your test, you felt a huge wave of relief wash over you as you left the lab room, the door closing behind you as you learned against it, sighing.
“All done?”
You looked up to see Taehyung get up from the ground as he zipped up his backpack. You furrowed your eyebrows as your hands gripped the straps of your backpack.
“You were waiting…out here the whole time?” you asked.
He nodded. “Yeah. Want to grab some coffee? You look like you need it,” he grinned.
“I’d like that,” you said, walking beside Taehyung before you began to talk to him about the exam.
You were explaining how at first, when you saw the questions, you knew the answers. But when it came to the last two questions, it stumped you really hard. You told him what you did and the methods you took to solve it, then doubted yourself half-way through the problem. You then shrugged your shoulders, and finished the problem the way you started it. If you were positive that you got the other problems right, then getting two wrong was no big deal.
“I think you should avert your mind away from that exam and be happy that you can relax for a bit,” he said, opening the door for you to your campus’s local cafe.
“I know,” you sighed, “I’ll stop worrying about it. Promise.”
He chuckled as he saw you pat your cheeks repeatedly before turning to the menu, eyes reading the different drinks they had to offer. You were torn between something cold and sweet or warm and bitter.
“Have you decided yet?” asked Taehyung as he stood beside you. You noticed how close he was and tensed up a bit.
“I-I think I’ll just settle on the honey mint tea,” you said. Taehyung nodded and told the barista your orders. Before you could interject and pay for your own drink, Taehyung already swiped his card and was then handed the receipt.
“My treat,” he said, “you could barely keep awake in psychology.”
You both found a table near the window and sat down. Taehyung dug into his bag and gave you a few sheets of paper.
“What’s this?” you asked, holding the paper in your hands.
“Notes,” he said, “I know how you always take notes in class and…well…”
He was now blushing as you giggled to yourself, thanking him as you placed the papers in your backpack.
“Thanks,” you said. Soon, the barista called Taehyung’s name and he got up, went to get the drinks you both ordered, and placed the white mug in front of you, the steam from the tea relaxing every nerve in your body.
You blew against the hot liquid before taking a small sip.
“Feeling better?” asked Taehyung, chin rested in the palm of his hand as he looked at you.
You blushed slightly as you smiled shyly. “Y-Yeah! Thanks. This is just what I needed after a long week.”
Taehyung then sat up and smiled widely. “Great! So what are your plans for tomorrow?”
Can I request a Jeongguk scenario where you're an idol but before, u were a regular kpop fan and you're doing a q & a session on the V app and people are asking you questions about ur fan experience and ur favorite groups and bias. you ramble a lot about BTS and Jeongguk being ur bias (saying how perfect he is). BTS is watching ur V app live and Jeongguk comments and says he likes u too. MAJOR FLUFF PLS! Thank you in advance✌️❤️
I tried to make this as fluffy as I can. Enjoy!

You placed the company’s phone propped up on its stand as you adjusted the screen so the angle was straight. You then sat back, started the live stream, and watched the number of viewers increase as well as the many hearts people sent you. You stayed quiet, a shy smile on your lips as you read comments. After a couple hundred of people were awaiting your livestream, you began your introduction.
“Hey guys! It’s ______ and today is the livestream you all have been waiting for! Today, it’ll be a Q&A of my life before being an idol. As you all know, my story of how I became what I am today, isn’t all that special. I was just a normal girl who loved music and k-pop that I just decided to audition. And here I am today,” you said, giggling to yourself in embarrassment. Your members had courageous stories of how they fought for their dreams while you just auditioned and luckily made it. But despite that, you did work as hard as they did and didn’t let a day go by where you weren’t grateful for where you are.
“Okay, I have a bunch of questions saved from my post on Instagram where I asked you all to send me whatever you wanted to know before I became an idol,” you said, showing the camera your phone with the long list of questions.
“Did you ask her a question?” asked Jimin as he shoved Jungkook who was sitting beside him.
BTS was currently watching your livestream since your group and theirs happened to be very good friends. You both collaborated for photo shoots and music and through that, maybe Jungkook developed a small crush on you. Even though he avoided you like the plague the whole time and you thought he didn’t like you, Jungkook was just nervous to say anything. Every time you walked near him or wanted to ask him a question, he’d run away.
“Uh, I asked who was her favorite group,” he said, staring at the screen and giving you little hearts every time the meter filled up.
“But don’t you know the answer to that?” asked Taehyung, leaning towards Jungkook as he saw you answering what type of student you were in school.
“No. Why? Do you know?”
Taehyung nodded and took a sip of tea from his mug. “Yeah. She told us that she was a fan of us at the last photoshoot we had.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened. “What? Really? Why didn’t I hear of this?!”
“Because you ran away every time she came up to us,” teased Yoongi from the kitchen stool, looking away from his laptop.
Jungkook’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment as he pulled the hood from his hoodie over his head. He continued to watch the livestream, waiting for you to talk about how BTS was your favorite group. And maybe you’ll spill out who’s your favorite member.
“Okay next question…what group was your ultimate favorite?” you read. Jungkook’s ears perked up as he pulled his hood down.
“EVERYONE SHUT UP,” he said, increasing the volume on his phone.
“But no one was–”
“I SAID SHHH,” said Jungkook, covering Jimin’s mouth.
“My favorite group was, and actually is, BTS,” you said with a shy smile as you scratched your cheek lightly.
“God she’s so cute,” he muttered to himself.
“I became a fan of them during Boy in Luv and just fell in love with them. But I never really thought that I would be in a position where I had a chance to do photoshoots with them and even collab to make music! It was so hard to hide the fact that I was such a big fan of them. But after talking to them often, they’re really kind-hearted and funny people. I told them that I was a fan before all of this happened,” you explained, gesturing to your current appearance and status,“and they were pretty surprised at how someone like me, as normal as ever, became an idol and close to my favorite group. Most of my motivation and inspiration comes from not only my members, but BTS too. I think we all can learn a thing or two from them.”
Jungkook was now blushing so hard to the point his cheeks were super pink. All of his members made fun of him for being such a fan boy towards you. He couldn’t say anything though. He just thought you were too cute.
“My favorite BTS member?” you asked, biting you lower lip. “Uhh…if I tell you guys, please don’t hurt me.”
You then playfully laughed after the end of your scentence, but was a bit serious. There are some fans out there that are very problematic and will possibly do something if you told the world your bias from BTS.
“My favorite member is…Jungkook,” you said, blushing as you cleared your throat.
“Oh look! She likes you!” pointed out Hoseok. Jungkook placed his hands on his cheeks and patted them.
“Is this a dream? Am I dreaming? Did she really say I am her favorite member?”
“I can punch you to see if you are,” volunteered Yoongi.
“Nah, I’m fine,” spoke Jungkook as his eyes averted back to the screen.
You then kind of just rambled on about why he was your favorite member and what made him your favorite member. You talked about how talented he was and how much of a great dancer he was too. You went on about how during the photoshoots and music you guys did together and how much you admired his cool facade on camera and enjoyed his shy, dorkiness off camera. You even pointed out how he ran away from you every time you tried to talk to him.
“Maybe he has a crush on you,” you read as you laughed.
“Oh no. I highly doubt it,” you said, “he’s like that around my members too.”
“Eh, I mean you comfortably talked with everyone else, but froze up whenever it came to ______,” said Jin, shrugging his shoulders.
“But do you like Jungkook?” typed Jimin on to the Vlive chat. Jungkook’s eyes widened as he tried to grab Jimin’s phone. He already pressed send and saw the question float up under some weird username he created. He saw that you read the question and felt his heart ready to leap out of his chest.
“Yeah, I do like Jungkook. He’s a great guy. What is there to not like about him!” you happily said. Jungkook was now on the floor, gone. Your cuteness and sweet personality has officially killed him and he has lost this battle.
Jimin chuckled to himself and typed another message. “He’s currently on the floor dying, but he likes you too.:)”
You saw the comment float up from the same username, but didn’t say anything. You read it, giggled to yourself, and decided to end the livestream. After saying your thank yous and goodbyes, you ended the livestream and took a deep breath. You then grabbed your phone and texted Jungkook.
You: so…one of your members told me you like me?
Jungkook stared at his phone and saw your name pop up along with a message. His breath hitched in his throat as he shoved the phone to Taehyung.
“Read it. Please.”
Taehyung unlocked his phone and read the message out loud. Jungkook stared at his phone screen before covering his face.
“Goddammit, Jimin. Why?”
“Because I thought she needed to know. And plus, it sounded like she likes you too! Didn’t you hear her go on and on about how great of a person you are?”
Jungkook nodded. “I know…but…”
“But…?” asked Tae.
He shrugged and took the phone from him, sending you a text back.
Jungkook: yeah…I do. I have a…uh…a crush on…you
You stared at the message sent from Jungkook before giggling to yourself. You then typed back.
You: I had a feeling you did. You know how when you’re in elementary school and you’d run away from your crush? Yeah, that’s you except we are not children but Adults™️.
Jungkook laughed at the use of the trademark sign you used, but didn’t reply since he saw another speech bubble appear.
You: but..I like you too. I just didn’t understand why you were so hesitant to speak to me.:(
Jungkook: because I was shy??? I know, me, a shy boy afraid to talk to his crush ;; but I guess I am now :))
You: then maybe we can talk in person? Over a cup of coffee or hot chocolate? I think a cup of hot chocolate sounds waayy better than coffee. Just saying.
Jungkook grinned widely.
Jungkook: I like hot chocolate! When should we meet up?
You: umm…on the weekend? Around 6 in the evening? I’ll double check my schedule and let you know!
Jungkook: same here! But even if I’m busy, I’ll break the rules just to see you.;)
You giggled to yourself, feeling your smile widen from his over-the-top cuteness.
You: then it’s a date! But if you run into some trouble, it’s not my fault. We do not know each other. I take no responsibility for your rebellious behavior. See you soon, Jungkook!^^
Jungkook laughed to himself, finding your sense of humor to be one of your charms that made him fall for you. Before he replied, he went back to read the first sentence and saw the word “date,” causing his heart to melt and his members to make fun of him. He sighed in annoyance, but couldn’t hide the dumb smile on his lips.

To those that have been staying with this blog despite it being so inactive, thank you! College is definitely a pain, full of stress, and time consuming that it’s really hard trying to balance school and the joy of writing about 7 lovely humans. I am going to slowly try to revive this blog and work on one or two writings and hopefully have them out every month or so. So once again, thanks for sticking with this blog and new scenarios should be out real soon!!♥️
Hello~~~!!! I am in love with your blog! Can you please write a Part 4 of Bloodlust? It may have been discontinued, but if not, please write it! Thanks!
Aww haha I'm actually really surprised you like the series because I really thought I was lacking inspiration when writing it. I'm not sure if I want to continue it or not, but I'll attempt to write part 4 sometime soon and see how it goes.:)
hii ! i was wondering if you are going to post part two of the jungkook imagine "nothing more"? it's so gooddd and i've been waiting for so long :(
Hey! I actually written up to part 5 but wasn't sure if anyone was interested in it. But I'm glad you like it! I'll make sure to post part 2 up soon!^^
Can I be shipped please? 8th May, 1998, ethnicity-wise Chinese, 174cm tall and everyone always asks me if I'm Korean. I speak English and Chinese, and I'm also learning Japanese and Korean. Personality wise, I'm painfully awkward and shy (to the point where I seem cold) when I first meet someone, but after I warm up to them, I'm sarcastic, sassy and dramatic. I can be stubborn and lazy. I love playing volleyball, learning new languages and dancing. People say I am/look really intimidating. Ty bb
I ship you with Jin! Jin may be awkward himself, but I’m sure he’ll be the one to bring that awkwardness out of you. Even if you may be cold at first, Jin seems the type to not hesitate and warm up to you pretty quickly. And once you’re comfortable with him, he’ll fall in love with your sassy sarcastic personality; something that’ll bring a smile to his face everyday. Your stubbornest and laziness may be contradicting to Jin’s neat and tidy personality. He’ll probably drag you off your feet to make you go on a walk with him or run a few errands just so he can spend more time with you.
Ship please! I'm a shy, pale college freshman with freckles & blue eyes. My hair changes every few months, but right now I'm my natural brown in a buzz cut. I have piercings & im v interested in tattoos but I dont have any yet. im v shy & quiet unless im in my comfort zone. I really enjoy acting & photography. I play video games or study Korean in my free time. I love acting & watch too many shows to catch up with. I dont have a specific music taste, but im always listening to something. Thanks~
I ship you with Yoongi. You and him together gives me this really chill, chic, artsy couple that’s into anything for the aesthetic. I can see you and him going on adventures to artsy places in the city, doing candid photoshoots. Or on lazy days, it’ll probably be spent in doors where you’ll convince him to play your favorite game. Also, considering you don’t have a specific taste in music, I can see Yoongi letting you listen to a variety of different songs to get your opinion and so on.

I get flustered when im around cute people and things and i get jealous easily ^^' thank you so much
Hi there! Sorry for the very long wait for this, but I ship you with Hoseok. I think with your lovely, bright personality will go well Hoseok’s. I can definitely see you both always laughing and smiling whenever you both are together, have silly moments and also some secret inside joke that you both only get, bringing you both even closer. I think he’ll find it super cute to see you fond over adorable things. Your jealousy might clash a bit with Hoseok, but I see him being the one to tell you that there really isn’t anything to be jealous of; a huge support in your life.
You met him on a cold winter night. Your friend insisted you go on this blind date she planned. The guy was her boyfriend friend's friend or brother or something like that. You couldn't remember since you were so shocked she set up this date without even asking you. It was planned for Friday night at eight. Classes ended at noon and then you had a six hour shift at a local coffee shop you worked at. And now knowing that once you get home, you had to get ready for a date. You were exhausted and also not even looking forward to it all. Why did your friend set you up on the blind date?
Oh right. She was afraid you'll die alone.
"I'm not going to die alone," you said as you sat down in front of her, placing two ceramic white mugs of hot chocolate down. You were on your break and she decided to visit.
"When was the last time you went on a date? Or even had a boyfriend? Let's talk about that."
You bit your lower lip. "My last boyfriend was my junior year of high school. And that was--"
"Two years ago," she finished. She blew against the steam from the chocolate beverage as you looked out the window.
"I don't have time to date or talk to anyone. I have too much work to do and I'm also balancing a job. It's tough," you said, seeing your friend give you this unamused work.
"We're going into the same work field and here I am, with a boyfriend, a job, and a social life," she bluntly said.
"You're so nice. Did anyone tell you that?" you sarcastically said, seeing her narrow her eyes at you as you chuckled.
"I'm just looking out for you, ______. That's why you're going on this date tonight. He's a great guy. He's majoring in computer science and is going into coding. He has connections to Google and will most likely be working for them once he graduates. He's your cute, nerdy guy. Yeah?"
You sipped your drink slowly before putting the mug on the table, staring at your friend. You had to admit, this guy did seem pretty interesting since he had a plan and a career waiting for him once he graduated. But despite being on the road to success, what's his personality like? What if he's boring? Obnoxious? Conceited?
"Okay, but his personality. What's it like?"
Your friend unlocked her phone and scrolled through the messages her boyfriend sent. She began to read them to you.
"He said that he's a funny and great guy. He knows how to keep a conversation going. He's pretty chill too and just a great person overall. Also, he's tall and good looking."
You rested your chin in the palm of your hand. "That's it?"
"I can't tell you everything, ______. That's for you to find out."
You sighed. Yeah this guy seemed decent, but you weren't in the mood to go on this date or even meet him. You were fine without having to worry about someone to cater to. Being single for a bit has taught you how to appreciate and love yourself and also discover so many things you could do on your own. You had to admit though, it was lonely being on your own most of the time. Maybe this blind date wouldn't hurt after all.
And so the night came and you were dressed in a black dress with a simple floral design, paired with a black coat and thigh high, heeled boots. Your hair was curled loosely and makeup smoked out into a neutral glam look. You were currently sitting at a table at some vintage restaurant in the city you never knew existed. The reservation was made by your friend and you knew why she picked it. This place was new and out of the ordinary. The place was dimmed, chic and retro. Also, the food was supposedly the best and worth the money.
You kept checking your phone, seeing the guy was about half an hour late. You've been sitting at the table near the window where the entire world could see the distraught and nervousness on your face, for thirty minutes. You had to sadly tell the waiter to give you more time until he appears and she nodded and went on her way. You knew you couldn't keep her waiting, but it wasn't your fault. This date of yours wasn't showing up at all! Also, you even sent him a text and called, and yet, there was no answer.
Your friend was furious and had to pause her messages to call her boyfriend's friend about why wasn't his friend showing up. He never picked up the phone. You sighed. This was a disaster and you knew this wasn't going to end well. You were just about to get up until a stranger walked in, looked at you, and sighed as his hand reached up to touch his beanie before taking it off.
"Gosh, I'm so sorry I'm late! You weren't waiting so long, right?" he asked, taking a seat in front of you. You furrowed your eyebrows. Was that him? He soon leaned in and whispered to you.
"Just go with it."
You nodded. So this stranger wasn't your blind date at all. "I've been here for about half an hour waiting for a blind date of mine."
The stranger gave a small pout as he took off his coat and hung it on the back of his chair. He fixed his collar and adjusted his watch before turning to you.
"What an asshole. Sorry, I don't know him, but if he stood up a pretty girl like you, then he's an ass."
You giggled. "You think I'm pretty?"
The stranger blushed and nodded. "Sorry to be a stalker, but I was across the street in that cafe. I was typing up a paper and I kept glancing at you and saw that you looked so...uncomfortable. I then decided to just go over and pretended I was late to our 'date'," he quoted. You laughed even more before covering your mouth.
"I'm sorry. I'm just...wow," you said. He scratched the back of his neck.
"I don't mean to make you uncomfortable after telling you I was watching you."
You shook your head. "No! Well, it's a bit weird, but I'm just...relieved I won't have to sit here alone and keep the waiter waiting for this no-show."
He chuckled lightly. "I'm Taehyung. And you are?"
"______. Nice to meet you."
From then on, the waiter came back and gave the guy a weird look, like she was willing to smack him upside the head for you. But you shook your head slightly when Taehyung was staring down at the menu, still deciding what to order. She then furrowed her eyebrows and you smiled shyly and shrugged, seeing that she understood that he wasn't the blind date you were supposed to meet. Anyway, you were ready to order and so was Taehyung. Once she took down your meals, off she went, leaving you and Taehyung to get to know each other.
You learned that he wanted to become a teacher for kindergarteners since he adored children more than anything in this world. You giggled when he talked about how excited he was and could see how well he fit the occupation. He was bright, sweet, and really kind. Being a teacher for children was perfect. Then came to you. You told him how you really like drawing and building things and that you wanted to become an architect.
"Woah! Really?" he exclaimed, trying not to sound over-excited. But he really couldn't contain himself.
"Yeah," you replied, laughing slightly. "My parents always bought me building blocks growing up and I would constantly build different types of structures and knock them down to start all over. Since then, I kind of knew what I wanted to do."
The night went on and you both eventually finished your meals and stayed a bit longer to talk. You both couldn't stop talking considering you two had almost everything in common. It was like you found your soul mate. (Except you didn't want to go too far into thinking you did.) It didn't hurt to think that, though. He was everything you ever dreamt of; a handsome, intelligent, kind, warm human being who shared so many interests with you. It felt like a dream come true.
"Woah, it's getting late. Maybe we should head home," he said. You nodded and Taehyung paid for your meal, making you stare at him as he laughed.
"What? You thought I was going to let you pay for it?" he asked, opening the door as you walked out.
"Yeah. I mean, it's the least I could do to repay you for saving my almost horrible night."
"But it's not so horrible now, is it?"
You looked at him with a shy grin and shook your head. "It's probably one of the best nights I ever had."
You then began walking back to your university. It happened to appear that Taehyung also attended the same school as you and dormed in the next building over. Since you both had completely different majors, you didn't share much classes with each other. But besides that, at least you both finished around the same time and planned to meet up again.
"I had an amazing night, Taehyung. Thanks for saving it. I owe you one," you said as you both stopped in front of your dorm's building.
"Why don't we go on another date? An official one - where you don't get stood up," he suggested. You grinned.
"I'd like that a lot."
You then exchanged numbers and once you got your phone back, Taehyung kissed your cheek, wished you goodnight, and you both went on your way. As you rode the elevator up to your dorm, you swiped your card and pushed the door open, seeing your roommate still awake.
"How was the date?"
"Amazing. I'm glad he stood me up," you said, flopping on the bean bag on you floor.
"What? You met someone else?"
You nodded. "Kim Taehyung. And it's funny because he lives in the other dorm building over there. Who knew he was right here all along."
You friend giggled. "Crazy, right? Now tell me everything."

"Yeah, I'll be over soon. Bye."
The call then ended and Jin lowered his phone from his ear. He stared at the screen before it went black as he sighed. Every phone call felt like this; felt so lost, distant, empty. You used to say you loved him at the end, but you stopped and he wondered why. He never asked and instead, said "I love you" at the end of his calls. He then would hear a long pause and you would say "me too." Then, the line went dead and he felt a sharp stab in his chest.
For the past few months, he felt like something was slowly falling. He didn't exactly know what was going on or why. You seemed distant lately that whenever he called to catch up on you or asked you to grab a bite to eat, you would always turn him down. You'd tell him you were busy with work or your studies or you were too tired and wanted to sleep. Jin would then offer to come over and keep you company, but you turned him down and said you just wanted to be alone. So Jin respected that and didn't pressure you to change your mind. It was like that everyday, though.
He wanted to see you.
But you didn't.
"So you're going to actually tell him?" asked your friend.
You nodded. "Yeah," you said with a dry voice, "I am."
She sighed as she saw your pained expression. "Are you sure? Maybe you can think this over?"
"If I do, it's going to hurt the both of us even more; maybe him the most."
There was a long pause of silence before you spoke up again. "It's a feeling...I can't describe. But, it's just...I really did love him; the best two years of my life has been with him. Now, I...I don't even know."
Your friend couldn't relate. She didn't understand the feeling you had or what you were going through. All she could do was lend an ear and try to sort this situation out, but it seems as if you made up your mind.
"You...don't love him anymore. That's all. You once did, and now you don't. You can't figure out why because maybe there isn't a reason for everything. You just simply fallen out of love with him."
You looked at your friend and then back at the floor. You nodded slowly. You felt like tearing up a bit, but you held it in. The past two years with Jin were the best, you admitted. There were a bunch of ups and downs and terrible fights that almost broke your relationship, but when those happened, you both would stop, admit your faults, and apologize. He would then pull you into a tight, warm hug and you'd feel relieved. Other days, he would call whenever he can, catch up with you, and the call would last late to the point your sleep schedules were a mess. Sometimes, he'd cook dinner for you or take you out to these restaurants all over the city for something new. He was kind, sincere, generous, a dork, handsome, had the biggest heart ever, and basically was your best friend.
He gave you the best two years of your life.
And now, it'll be over.
You took a deep breath and knocked on Jin's apartment door. You heard footsteps and the door knob turned before the door opened, revealing his tall frame and bright smile.
"Hey," he said with a warm grin. You couldn't smile back, but faked one. He opened his arms and you walked in, wrapping your arms around his torso as you felt a kiss at the top of your head.
You both then broke apart and he closed the door.
"Are you hungry? I found this really cool diner ten minutes from here and it just opened. It's a fusion of eastern and western dishes and--"
"Jin, we need to talk," you said as you cut him off. Jin looked at you and slowly nodded, sitting on the stool by the kitchen counter. You sat next to him, looking at him. He stared at you with his warm brown eyes that were shaking in fear. He knew what was going to happen. He just didn't expect it to happen now.
"What's wrong?" he asked, trying to hide the pain in his voice.
"Let's...end this," you quietly said. You looked at him and saw his face completely fall as his eyes watered slightly. He swallowed his pain, lips quivering.
"W-Why? Did I do something wrong? Is there something wrong? You know we can fix this, ______. We fixed so many things in our relationship and we can fix this too."
You shook your head. "You did nothing wrong, Jin. I just...don't love you."
Those three words broke Jin as he looked away from you. He clenched his teeth as he tried to fight back the tears. You didn't love him. He expected something else, but never those three words.
"Why?" he asked as his voice cracked. You could hear his painful sob as he held it back.
"I...I fell out of love with you. It's a feeling I really can't describe. I don't love you, Jin. And if I continue to keep this relationship going, it'll hurt the both of us."
Jin looked at you as you saw a small stream of tears falling from his eyes. You quickly wiped a tear away and stood up, walking towards the door.
"I don't want to say I'm sorry because you would hate it; wonder why I'm being sorry for ending this. But just to let you know," you began as you turned around, smiling through your tears, "thank you for the best two years of my life."
Jin still sat there as he watched you leave.
"Wait," he said, making you stop.
"I know...this is all over, but remember that I'm going to wait for you and hope you fall in love with me again."
You looked at Jin one last time before you closed the door behind you and left. Jin continued to stare at the door, hoping you'd open it and run back into his arms, saying you were sorry and that you didn't want to end this.
