4) What is your favourite genre to write for?

i like a blend of humor and angst. life isn’t wholly awful or wholly wonderful and i try to make my fics reflect that. i also really love found family stories and redemption arcs, when they’re well done. and i also really love naruto politics for SOME godawful reason. they're such a mess and so rarely explored in fic.

8) Where do you take your inspiration from?

everybody says “write what you know” and they are RIGHT. for example, obviously i have never dealt with the susano'o trying to take over my body, but i HAVE dealt with such a magnitude of violent and intrusive thoughts that i felt like i was losing control of myself, so that’s where that whole narrative struggle comes from. i like to give every character a bit of myself, even the bad bits (sorry). i am also inspired by spending time in nature, watching birds, and reading certain books about birds. at the end of caulescent i am planning to include a long list of references, but a ton of it is inspired by helen macdonald’s “h is for hawk.”

9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote?

wow god….with wild things i had a few favorites. (also hello, exposing myself.) i remember having a great time writing the scene where tobirama confronts hashirama about his “marriage” near the end of chapter 3, and i also really enjoyed writing the festival scene with the archery. i think that was the first scene i wrote and then the rest of the fic kind of settled into place around it. madara’s confession scene was also cathartic to write, because i had been building up to it for so long.

28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction?

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why?

i don’t really know if i have one…my fics are so self indulgent that i only write characters that i REALLY want to write lol. i definitely struggle the most to write tobirama but it’s a fun challenge.

“I know you’re there,” he says aloud, his voice cracking from disuse.
