I may delete soon. I get bored every few years and reset. I may return after some time. I've been part of a community before, I've done it all for me before. Mostly I am feeling like expressing anything in words is not worth the effort. I am not pleased with the way people behave, and more often than not, I antagonize myself here. It is somewhat like that in my personal life as well. Since the idea is rolling around in my head, I may indulge in some of the boring, and beaten-to-death commentary on black metal. Specifically as a concept, black metal to me has become something almost entirely out of the music. I still listen to the music and bands that intrigue me, but I am no longer just bound to that which I had not discovered from decades past. Black metal has become, and always sort of was a mentality, and a standard for me, and I am finding that some of the best principles of this concept are no longer found in the pieces of media and characters that have been raped by the masses of those sub-standard people who attach to the low hanging fruit of the scene. I find more of the wisdom that is grown in the darkest times of our lives, in the inconspicuous residents of this town, than in the carefully chosen notebooks of those who are always asking for the hardship. Hardship will always come, it needs not to be beckoned. And this is feeling like a source of the insincerity of the world. Postmodernism, and easy genius are what we should be ignoring, but we are cultivating it in our apathy. Be apathetic if you must, but know what you empower by the direction in which you hang a tired head, and turn not to the ones who offer you an easy out. Things change, time erodes, but I am fairly confident in knowing what this mentality is to me, and where I can find new pieces of it. And it is no longer in the stark contrast, and siren songs of the weakly driven. I might as well admire what has endured this changing scenery. And oh, how devoid this platform is of any endurance. Conclusively, I would urge any of you who are feeling like something is missing in that which you once treasured, to turn a blind eye to those small, and guilty bits of indulgence, that offer you no substance. Hold out for a heavier truth. Hold out for something that will rattle you to the core. We shall see what the decision making process holds.
