Does anyone else ever feel like they’ve lost literally all motivation and all you want to do is curl up in a ball in bed and eat junk and watch films and avoid all other responsibilities for like 37 years or so

I hate when ppl ask what I’m doing tomorrow like no offense but I don’t know what I’m doing right now

you know, life doesn’t have to be competitive. you don’t have to get in the very best university; you don’t have to get the highest paying career there is. you don’t need to compare and compete with everyone else in the world. you need to do what’s right for you. you need to relax, take a breath, and say ‘what do i want, for myself, to live as i want to’. and, if that involves high ambitions, then that’s fine. because you chose those ambitions on what you desire as an individual, and not on what is expected in order to succeed. let’s be ourselves this year.

I feel like I’m constantly worrying about the next part of my life without realizing that I’m right in the middle of what I used to look forward to

Your daughters do not exist to give you grandchildren

Or domestic labour by the age of 7

And they’re not a mini-mom for their siblings either

Or be your personal therapist.

They’re not here to live the life you wish you had.

The last one is important for sons, as well. Your children are not an extension of you.

Friendly reminder: when people say ‘as long as you tried your best’ it doesn’t mean ‘the best you could possibly have done ever’ it means ‘the best you were capable of at the time.’ Sometimes ‘trying your best’ is just getting out of bed in the morning. Just because you weren’t working yourself to the bone doesn’t mean you weren’t trying your best.
