like xmen v xforce that is teaming up with xfactor is kind of insanely massive. but we can barely focus on that. rogue getting celestial power and trading her life to safe remy. super good. super cool. cable shooting gambit point blank (which. idk why gambit stood there and took it but he did just wake up and is still kind of fucky so. Sure!) and then becoming mega evil apoc and them really losing gambit for a moment? Super cool! Rogue getting there in time to fight this apocalypse gambit hybrid and save gambit? Amazing!

However. That confrontation of CELESTIAL GODLY ROGUE VERSUS SUPER TAKEN OVER GAMBIT. WAS SO SHORT😭 i just wanted more tbh.

Loved her saving him for real. Loved more than anything that they got a moment together FINALLY. I was so focused on them being safe i was blinded to see the twist coming which was SO good. I was so gutted. Holy shit nightcrawler. Wow.

i really liked everything i just really wanted more time to focus on it. Even the ending was so cute but i wouldve loved even one minute more to focus on the characters and what they were doing.

i think a lot of people’s main concern with this season was pacing. And i think that’s fair. But personally i prefer a pacing issue over the stuff i didn’t like in s1. I know people called some eps in s2 “filler” but i really disagree. Nothing has ever felt as filler than the jubilee mojo videogame episode (and i LIKE jubilee AND mojo episodes from the original show to be clear. It’s just like. So hard to do that with only 10 episodes). So i actually much preferred s2. The characters felt cared about a little more. The stakes felt higher. But i just needed some more time in these episodes.

and also. Roguegambit win but at WHAT FUCKING COST MAN. my favorite characters safe and happy for the time being BUT LIKE. BRO. I WAS NOT READY FOR IT TO BE KURT. MY LITTLE GERMAN BOY WHYYYY. but also thank you because i would have been inconsolable if they seriously were like. Hm gambit sacrificed himself and rogue was miserable for ages and 2 irl years what if we immediately do the reverse. SO. IM SORRY KURT FANS AND ALSO STILL SORRY MAG FANS. I DID WIN THIS TIME BUT AT SUCH A HIGH COST.

And now im just sad that i have no more x-men wednesdays. i guess i will just have to rewatch the original show for the 100th time.
