PENELOPE: someone told me that i reminded them of that Gen bitch from that  boys i loved before movie or whatever. PENELOPE: i’ve never been so insulted in my life PENELOPE: do i look like someone who has ever owned uggs? PENELOPE: that’s some peasant shit i don’t fuq with.

“Valid argument, truly. Don’t agree with it one bit but…” They trailed off, a slight smirk on there lips. “It’s a great plan. Now, I just need to get other people to think I deserve twice the gifts.” They chuckled.

“I didn’t think being a TA for this many languages would be tiring and we’ve not been in school for a week yet. Not even training can get me like this unless my goal is to tire myself out. I think I’m going to need more than a cup of coffee to get me through this week.”

"I love languages,” Ariana smiled. The languages she took were among the subjects that had been the easiest for her to grasp. Then again, the Asgardian gift of All-Speak did help. “How many are you a TA for?”

“Personally, I think monarchies are a drag. A bunch of old people think their blood means they can rule? Completely archaic. Also boring. A few more scandals would be great,” They said with a shrug. “Great points all around. I think I have to go with two birthdays now.”

“Not all royals are old,” she pointed out with a chuckle. “Or boring, for that matter.” Asgardian royalty had certainly had their share of scandals over the years, but  perhaps things were different on Midgard. “Sounds like a good plan to me!”

“Interesting. I don’t know much about the Queen of England. Following in her footsteps and having two birthdays seems like a step in the right direction.” Rhea said. “A bit much isn’t really something I’m concerned with. Too much is the real kicker here.” They beamed, “Trendsetter would a great thing to add to my resume.”

“I don’t know too much,” Ariana admitted with a shrug. “I’ve just read a few things. I find monarchies quite interesting.” Which probably had something to do with her own heritage as one of Thor’s daughters. “Well, in that case, I say go for it. At the very least, it’s twice the amount of presents right?”

Whatever was happening, he could sense it, too. Not only from all the power outbreaks from numerous students around the academy, but Ravus was beginning to feel a little–off. Some may have said he had no special abilities, but he was lucky enough (of course) to have inherited Asgardian Physiology from his mother. He was beginning to feel a little weak and lightheaded, as if he were about to faint. “Excuse me–” Ravus called out at whomever was nearest. “Do you have some water?”

Ariana didn’t know what was happening, but over the past few hours she’d started to feel strange. It had started with something almost like a headache but not quite, and had gradually spread through the rest of her body. She wasn’t sure if the fact that she didn’t seem to be the only one feeling off was reassuring or not.

“I feel like I should start celebrating two birthdays, at least.” It was said as Rhea slid into a booth after their shift ends. Their entire life, their current life, their true birthday was unknown, and the day they were found celebrated instead. Now, far too many memories, including dates that once mattered to them . “Too much? Personally, I’m all for two parties and double the gifts.”

“Well from what I’ve heard, the Queen of England has two birthdays,” Ariana shrugged. “Although to my knowledge,” which admittedly wasn’t always the best when it came to Midgardian things “she’s the only one who does that. So it could be a bit much. Then again, you could start a trend.”

she feigned a sigh, flashing a BITTERSWEET smile in her direction. “ as much as i’d like to take you up on your offer, i actually found out i was allergic to that a while back - as well as peanuts. come out in rashes all over. not a good look, believe me. but, it could possibly be get even worse. i don’t really want to risk that for a tasty snack. you UNDERSTAND, though, don’t you ?? i just don’t want to put a damper on your day and all. “ she said. after years of lying and DECEPTION, little white ones like these weren’t that hard to pull off. “ cause, life can be shitty enough as it is. trust me. especially on earth. “ but, that was anything but a lie. 

“Of course,” Ariana nodded, acting as if she wholeheartedly believed the other. “How horrible to be allergic to something so delicious, you must feel like you’re missing out.” She would look up exactly what they were later, if she could get the internet to cooperate with her. “I suppose I’ll just have to try some another time. I wouldn’t want to risk having them anywhere near you, you never know whether just being near them could risk you coming out in a rash.” A shrug followed the last part of the other’s words. “Yeah, it can suck here sometimes, but I’m getting used to it.”

“ I DON’T KNOW – WHO ELSE TO TURN TO. ” It took a great deal of effort to bother someone, a painstaking choice of words. “ I can’t seem to find this class, can – can you help? ” Pale blue hues glance towards the other’s face, her lips pulled into an apologetic smile.

“Well, I can try...” Ariana started, her expression both apologetic and sympathetic as she looked at the other. Though she knew a lot of the school by now, there were still some places she was unfamiliar with, but she wanted to help if she could. “Where is it you’re trying to find?”

“What? You’ve never seen a girl on the piss, roaming the halls in her underwear? God this place is a nunnery” The brunette said, covering the smirk on her lips with the comfort of a tequila bottle. 

“Actually no, I haven’t,” Ariana shrugged, frowning as she looked at the clearly intoxicated Midgardian. “And I have to say I hope I never do again. It’s really quite trashy.”

a SKEPTICAL brow cocked up and her lips pursed, bemused at the girl’s words. “ you’ve got to be kidding me ?? “ she said, holding in laughter, “ you actually don’t know ?? “ sindella blinked. it wasn’t too surprising.  quarter of paragon were aliens who knew nothing of earth culture. she was surprised they didn’t have them in SPACE, though; add it to the long list of reasons not to go up there. “ no, no. it’s not bad to be one. it’s FOOD, actually. really tasty, too. they have it in silvey cafe if you wanted to try some, “ she told them. 

Ariana may have been naive to a lot of Midgardian things, but she wasn’t so naive as to believe the other’s explanation. Her mother had seen to it that she wasn’t going to be anyone’s puppet. But where was the fun in calling the other out immediately?  “Oh,” she nodded, playing along as if she believed every word. “Well perhaps if you have a moment you could come over there with me and order some?”

‘i’m so boooored. lets play a game.’

“Please don’t touch those.” She said, leaning against the door frame. There were tons of books on the table from where she was researching different subjects. Mainly those involving Mephisto. She was bound to find his weakness. Pushing herself off the frame, she walked closer. “ I just don’t want to lose my page.”

“Exactly!” DJ grinned, glad to have found someone to empathize with. “Driving’s a pain in the ass, especially driving stick-shift. Don’t ever try stick-shift.” She warned. “Nah, but don’t worry about it. I’ve met way worse humans. I don’t really care about one stuck-up demigod who can’t see past the stick up her butt.”

her fingers flicked through the pages of the book until they came upon what they wanted, headphones blocking out the world around her. scribbling INCOMPREHENSIBLE notes around passages, she didn’t even notice the tall shadow that began to loom over her. not until it had blocked out the sun, at least. letting out a huff, she rested the object in her hands with annoyed reluctance. “ look, i’m a little busy here. so, could you just PISS off ?? unless you want me to turn you into a dildo, “ she warned, her focus back on the book, “ did you not hear me ?? “

“Um,” Ariana frowned at the other, not used to being talked to in such a way. On Asgard, she was royalty, and on Midgard though her title was less important than it was back home, people had mostly been fairly nice, minus the whole mutant oppression thing. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you. But I don’t actually know what a dildo is. Is that a bad thing to be?”

“Yeah,” she snorted. “Sometimes even I don’t get the tech. Like I know how to use a computer, but that’s about it. And don’t even get me started on driving; it’s the worst.” DJ caught herself about to ramble and smiled instead. “Looks like you’re fitting in pretty good though. I met this other girl from Asguard who would not stop calling me an ‘inferior midguardian’.”

“Oh shit, I didn’t mean it like that! Just that, you know, you’ve got that Asguardian culture thing and then you’re here, so it’s different, you know? Like if I went to a different country. I’m not from there, but that’s not a bad thing.”
