We stopped into the Likely Saloon to tell Tom, the empty bar's tender, that we had found the hot spring and to thank him for his directions. Taking up the conversation from the night before, Tom said, "I want you to tell me more about the music you make...cause in my day, electronic music was made with synthesizers..." I nodded, suggesting it still is. "What I want to know," Tom continued, "is why aren't people using them to make electronic blues?"

Somewhat stunned, I told Tom that I had recorded some electronic blues that very morning. He said his spine tingled upon hearing of the synchronicity, so I fetched my iPad from the car and Tom plugged it into his stereo. As he listened to the 12 bar blues roll past, he said, "Yes...electronic blues...that's what I'm talking about!" After Tobin said, "It sounds like something off Pink Floyd's 'Ummagumma', Tom, bless his heart, said, "It does sound like Pink Floyd...only better."
