[I know I've only been existing here briefly, but today I had a very long training session.. and Runcle came about. I doodle to avoid zoning out too much in case ya'll are wondering.

Fedora's cooler cousin. Did that mean he wouldn't be mistaken for one of those incel who tipped their hats and went "ma'am" who came within restraining order distance? Because he didn't want that. He was gay. (Sexual orientation probably wasn't the biggest reason he didn't want to be a dude bro but it was up there on the list.)

He accepts the gift, but his eyebrows remain up as he smiles at the headgear.

Neon J's workshop was a thing of organized beauty. Compared to the chaos of Rin's workshop right next door, this was a like a hospital. Clean, organized, nothing out of place.

Rin only came in here when he needed something or wanted to leave his otherworldly brother a surprise. He was organized chaos and he didn't want to bring his habits into this Eden of organization. Sometimes, however, Rin came into the workshop to bask in it and take in all the strange and wonderful that probably helped in some part to keep his brother alive. The table, the instruments, the extra parts. All of it came together to give the world Neon J as they knew it.

Speaking of the extra parts.. there was a drawer slightly askew. Upon closer inspection, the drawer had fallen off its rail on one side and therefore couldn't close correctly. So, with a sound that felt too loud for the quiet room, Rin heaved the drawer up and put it into place again. He was about to close the drawer when the contents caught his gaze.

Spare monitors.

Without even thinking, because this was simply how Rin lived, he gently lifted one of the monitors and held it gently. White, glossy and very simple, with rounded edges that made them kid-friendly. At a glance, especially from the front, it was very unassuming. Only the mechanism at the back made it clear that this monitor was for something much more complicated than a computer.

Which is why it was weird to think about the implications of the thing in his hands. This was his brother's head. He saw through this. He heard through this.
