“Proper culinary gumption would probably be being able to taste things other than super spicy and super sweet. I think I have calluses on my tongue.”

“Sure it’s great if you like havin’ your taste buds burned right off. I’m pretty sure due to prolonged exposure I can’t even taste half the stuff I’m supposed to be able to anymore.” an eyebrow quirks and hands go to his hips, “I’m curious what the other two things are too, I’ve never seen you cook nothin’ else unless it was cereal  or toast.”

“You keep doin’ that, and I’ll stay outta trouble as much as you want, how bout that?” A promise that was worth its weight in hot air, it was rare that he wasn’t some kind of antsy and ready to make it everyone's problem. “I’ll be just as sweet as a kitten, mark my words.” If he could purr like one, he would be, no doubt about that. “Never get another bump or bruise, but that would mean you got nothin’ to kiss better, so I dunno how much you really want that.” Just grinning up at her as he opens up his eyes for a second.

“Mmm... fuck that feels good... You got a gift.” It comes out with a soft groan some of the tension he didn’t know he’d had in his shoulders evaporating while her fingers magically danced along his scalp. Oh man, he could lay here for the rest of his life and be perfectly happy. “Yeah probably, not my fault sitting still sucks and doin’ stuff that might get you hurt is way more fun. Systems rigged man.”

“Hurts sooooo bad. Dunno if I’ll ever be able to use my bow again. Real tragic.” Even with the alleged excruciating pain the gentle kisses and following fingers in his hair have him all but purring as he relaxes against her lap, a soft smile playing on his lips. “Mm, you’d take care of me wouldn’t you? If I got hurt so bad I had to hang it all up and couldn’t do much?” It’s light, teasing in nature almost. He didn’t expect that of anyone but it was a nice thought that someone might.

“Lookit me pourin’ out my soul, and you’re makin’ fun of me.” he’s got a smile on his face , but it  just barely reaches his eyes as he pulls off his hat and runs his fingers through his hair before firmly putting it back on his head, “That’s cold man.” A little laugh bubbles from his throat.
