Masquerade Full Audio: Clay Singer/Eryn LeCroy/Francisco Javier Gonzalez
February 11, 2026. 8pm.
I cannot express to you how absolutely divine this performance was. I love the Clay/Riley and Kyle/Eryn pulses the most, and this scramble was devastating.
Hopefully you can't hear me crying too much here.
I hope this audio captures what it was like and hope they mix things up like this again, because this was easily one of the best Phantom combos I've ever seen live, Masquerade or otherwise.
I've removed the beginning violin medley from the reception area because it's inaudible and have timestamped things by nomenclature from the original show and by what I thought was most legible. There is some noise in moments where I'm walking/moving, but otherwise this is pretty decent audio. Please feel to ask me any additional cast questions if you're curious!

Three years since the Phantom closed on Broadway. This is a bittersweet day, mourning the end of a run so impactful and yet celebrating something new and wonderful that is happening right now, 13 blocks away. The music of the night resonates in Masquerade and after experiencing it for the first time, I felt the thrill of that story again, the music and the sets and everything that makes it the most extraordinary musical of all time for me.
April 16th. Mourning what was. Celebrating what exists because of everything that happened before. I know my feelings echo a lot of phans today.
But what a marvelous thing to be alive and able to experience Masquerade as a Phan. Like stepping into a dream. A fantasy. I don't think I'll ever get over it. How much it reflects the love that people have had for this musical over the years. How lovingly they share everything. I understand not liking it but... What a wonderful addition to what exists today!

Love seeing this happy! Hopefully he's not done with the role ❤️
In nearly 2 years, I'll be seeing one of the musicals that shaped my love for them since I was a girl. It's been a long long time coming, but I'm so glad the time has finally come ❤️ Roméo & Juliette, in French and with the original pairing. How ready I am to love them all again, and how grateful I am to DVDs and tapes that have allowed me to fall in love with this one more than 20 years ago! Maybe one day more musicals in the english sphere can take a page from our books and release more recordings of their own musicals, too, to allow people who weren't able at the time to go when they discover them, in a time where anything, no matter how successful or good can close at a moment's notice.
So many good musical news these past 12 months!
Hopefully more will be coming with Phantom 40th Anniversary in October 🤞
the tour is headed to taiwan after the current mainland china leg!!
AHHHHH a taiwan comeback!!!
That's lovely news!! And now the cast 👀??

Found this again in a dive through youtube trying to stop missing him so much.
It felt like I always knew how wonderful an artist he was, but last weekend just cemented it in my soul.
I'd like his voice to run under my skin, through my veins. The obsession hadn't been as strong recently but it came back as if it had never disappeared.
Meeting him again and talking to him only rekindled it. Now my heart feels almost too tender thinking about how glorious it was.
And how desperately I want to do it again.
But who knows when the opportunity will arise again?
PHANTASM: A journey through Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera.
"Ever since I first donned the mask as The Phantom in the South African revival production of The Phantom of the Opera, I have wanted to record more of the score for posterity. Having been part of the latest successful World Tour again, the idea has resurfaced but with a little extra. In the meantime, there has been a sequel to Phantom: Love Never Dies. Between these two shows, the Phantom saga has been extended with more songs and lush music.
Yes, there are other versions of Phantom on stage and screen but the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber sets this version apart from the rest. Aside from being the world’s most successful musical – even through COVID-19- there is something special about the show. I have recorded three songs before but never managed to do more. Out of context, the other numbers seemed out of place on other albums. Phantom and Love Never Dies are connected in terms of the love affair between the Phantom and Christine. The songs tell their story. The songs are pieces of the puzzle. These songs belong next to each other."

Pre-Order the Album
Is there anything better to wake up to than a gorgeous album by our beloved JRox? Physical copies shipping internationally ❤❤ And what a beautiful setlist 😍😍😍 This is a terrible year, but it does come with perks at time 🎉
5 years nearly to the day since he announced that beautiful album. And what a journey it's been since that time... For both of us, and I never imagined it would happen this way, but I'm so thrilled it did.
Looking back to 2020 and the grief it all brought us, maybe it was worth it in the end. Waiting only made it all seem better.
And hopefully, this is still just the beginning.
Jonathan... What a special one you are! 😍
Such a gifted, precise, masterful artist. And an inventive performer.
Where to begin? This was getting long so...
Jonathan... What a special one you are! 😍
Okay guys I'm freaking out! This was absolutely amazing, he chose one of my "new" favorite Disney songs, so here you have his beautiful voice singing Evermore from Beauty and the Beast the 2017 movie. I'll be watching this on repeat forever more 💖💖
If you can do this too, it's fun and a great way to support him! And he's AMAZING!!🎶🎵🎶

Someone just liked this again, and it feels a good moment to share it again. I guess years pass but the admiration I have for this man and his artistry will never go away.
So here's a little something to chew on until we get our hands on something new, very, very soon...

Tumblr's Top 50 Musicals - Survey
In 2022, I wanted to find out Tumblr's Top 50 Musicals after seeing similar surveys on Reddit and Twitter. Now, three years and lots of new musicals later, I'm excited to see if anything has changed. So here's the 2025 survey!
To participate, please reply to this post / send me a non-anonymous ask / a dm with your Top 10 favourite musicals - ranked from 1 to 10, with 1 being your absolute favourite, until 11th June 2025.
Rules:
Since every show will receive points according to its ranking, I'm asking you to rank exactly 10 musicals, not more, not fewer.
Movie musicals and concept musicals without stage adaptations do not count. The musical MUST have a stage version.
Revivals/rewrites of a show count as the same musical, e.g. Bat Out Of Hell West End vs. Las Vegas.
Please include the composer/lyricist or another distinguishing element if there are at least two different musicals of the same name, e.g. Cinderella (R&H vs. ALW).
It's meant to be a list of your favourite musicals, not those you consider to be the best! There's no need to justify your choice.
The more people participate, the wider the variety of shows & the more representative the survey: please reblog!
Random example (not my favourites):
My Top 10 (and almost all I've seen live!)
1 - Phantom of the Opera (ALW)
2 - Elisabeth
3 - Romeo et Juliette (Presgurvic)
4 - Mamma Mia
5 - Notre Dame de Paris
6 - Moulin rouge
7 - Rebecca
8 - Hadestown
9 - The Lion King
10 - Tanz der Vampire
Thank you for setting this up! ❤️
Finally seeing the world tour is very special, even though Jrox isn't here. Like the circle is finally closed. Matt Leisy is lovely as Raoul, though his voice gets drown a bit at times (maybe they had sound issues?). Grace was solid. And Ben was a very pleasant surprise. I'd never heard him before and his voice and acting were wonderful. It feels weird, too, to see a version that kind of mixes all the changes Phantom has gone through since I first saw it in 2019. But there's nothing like experiencing it live, despite it all. I love you, Phantom, and likely always will. Across time and space, all over the world, when I can.
(And I'll keep hoping Fate might be kind enough to one day, finally let me experience JRox in the role, after 3 missed opportunities...)
