Stray Kids released their lyrics self-written with their identity and sincerity.

Recently JYP Entertainment raised expectations for the debut of rising stars Stray Kids with various teaser contents such as the trailer for their debut album ‘I am NOT’, the tracklist, and various images.

After the release of 4 lyrics cards including title track ‘DISTRICT9’ and side tracks ‘NOT!’, ‘MIRROR’, ‘AWAKEN’, this past 21st, at 12AM on the 22nd they released the lyric cards for tracks 5,6, and 7 ‘ROCK(돌)’, ‘You’re Doing Well (Grow Up)’ and ‘3rd Eye’ through their various SNS channels.

‘ROCK(돌)’’s lyric card raised curiosities with witty lyrics like, “What would it be like to go back to when I didn’t know anything, before the rock flew past”, “I’m just gonna dream a dream of becoming a rock, I’m just gonna sleep” and its joyful sound.

In addition, track ‘You’re Doing Well(Grow Up)’ merges a comforting message and a sentimental song atmosphere, and ‘3rd Eye’ draws the image of one watching oneself through the mirror even through confusion, to complete the release of the lyric cards of all 7 tracks excluding CD-limited track ‘MIXTAPE#1’.

Stray Kids, who participated in the composition and lyrics of all tracks on ‘I am NOT’, expressed their situation and the stories they really wanted to tell through their lyrics and their debut album is filled with their musical identity and sincerity.

The expectations for title track ‘DISTRICT9’, whose name itself is very meaningful, are rising as well. In episode 2 of their debut album teasing reality [INTRO: I am NOT] broadcasted on the 20th through NAVER V, they introduced it saying, “Title track ‘DISTRICT9’ is fierce and explosive in both atmosphere and choreography”, raising the curiosity of fans.

Stray Kids, the newest boy group to be shown by JYP 4 years after GOT7, will release their debut mini album ‘I am NOT’ and title track ‘DISTRICT9’ on the 26th and will announce the start of a ‘group of infinite growth’. Before this, at 6PM of the 25th, they will take off the veil amidst the expectations via their 3000 seat debut showcase ‘Stray Kids UNVEIL [Op. 01 : I am NOT]’ taking place at the Seoul Jang Chung Sports Arena.

Released on January 8th ahead of their official debut, pre debut album ‘Mixtape’ ranked #1 on iTunes Album charts in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and the Philippines, and title track ‘Hellevator’’s MV passed 20 million views on Youtube this past October, giving proof of their popularity domestically and overseas.

Stray Kids were also picked as #1 on Billboard’s ‘Top 5 New K-Pop Artists to Watch in 2018’, gaining attention as this year’s best rookie.

Having created ‘Asia’s 1-Top Girl Group’ TWICE through ‘SIXTEEN’ in 2015, JYP and Mnet met again in 2017 with reality program ‘Stray Kids’ which brought a lot of attention to the 9 members Bang Chan, Woojin, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, HAN, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N, by showing not only them working on recording, but also the members personally partaking in producing, concept, performance etc.

Stray Kids’ debut mini album ‘I am NOT’ and title track ‘DISTRICT9’ will be released on various online music sites at 6PM KST on the 26th.
