âFlip it All Upside-Downâ ..Stray Kids, Reveal Debut Track Killing Part + Choreography
JYPâs rookie group Stray Kids surprise revealed the killing part and point choreography of their debut track âDISTRICT9â.
At 12AM KST on the 24th, JYP Entertainment released the 2nd teaser video for Stray Kidsâ debut album title track âI am NOTâ through various video channels such as YouTube, Naver V, KakaoTV, Dailymotion, etc.
In said video, they showed âDISTRICT9ââs killing part, the âflip it all upside-downâ choreography and fixed the attention of viewers. Showing leader Bang Chan flying up in the center at the same time the members rotate their bodies 360 degrees while jumping, the âflip it all upside-downâ dance fits perfectly with the explosive sound. If teaser #1, released this past 23rd, expressed the controlled situation, teaser #2 presents a strong sense of liberation, creating two opposing atmospheres. Within the second teaser, all 9 members of Stray Kids are shown escaping somewhere and running towards a large bus. After, ambition-filled lyrics of âflip it all upside-downâ and the point choreography express a powerful energy and leave a solid mark.
Their self-composed debut title track âDISTRICT9â is equipped with a fierce sound, choreography, and visual from beginning to end.
Stray Kids, who are putting out their challenge as 2018 music industryâs best rookie like âDISTRICT9ââs message of âflip it all upside-downâ, are releasing their debut mini album filled with 8 all self-composed tracks titled âI am NOTâ and title track âDISTRICT9â. Before this at 6PM KST of the 25th they will take off the veil through their 3000 seat debut showcase titled âStray Kids UNVEIL [Op. 01 : I am NOT]â held at the Seoul Jang Chung Sports Arena.
Released on January 8th ahead of their official debut, pre debut album âMixtapeâ ranked #1 on iTunes Album charts in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and the Philippines, and title track âHellevatorââs MV passed 20 million views on Youtube this past October, giving proof of their popularity domestically and overseas.
Stray Kids were also picked as #1 on Billboardâs âTop 5 New K-Pop Artists to Watch in 2018â, gaining attention as this yearâs best rookie.
JYP and Mnet, who birthed âAsiaâs 1-Top Girl Groupâ TWICE through âSIXTEENâ in 2015, met again in 2017 with reality program âStray Kidsâ and showed the potential of Stray Kids as a âgroup of infinite growthâ through images of the members Bang Chan, Woojin, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, HAN, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N, participating in writing lyrics, composing, producing, performance, etc.
