You were bored out of your mind. It was a random Tuesday evening, nothing very eventful happening or exciting to do. You were mindlessly  scrolling through your phone, trying to find any ounce of entertainment. But, before you could continue to scroll, you heard a loud clatter down the hall in the bathroom. 

“Fuck!” 

Cautiously, you rose from the bed and slowly made your way down the dimly lit hall. The closer you got, the faint buzz of a razor could be heard.

You knocked on the door once, then twice. “Vi? You okay in there?” you asked. After not getting a response, you gently open the door, only to be met with a complete mess.

Shampoo, conditioner, lotion bottles  and more were scattered along the floor tiles, along with chunks of red hair. The hair was on the floor, in the sink, in the toilet, everywhere. And in the middle of it all was your girlfriend, Vi.

“Baby, what are you doing?” you ask as you take in the mess. She slightly lifts her head, finally realizing that you’ve entered the bathroom. 

“Oh, hey cupcake.” she drawled out, with a casual tone and her usual smirk on her lips. As if she didn’t just scream like she was about to be murdered. “Sorry ‘bout that, dropped the damn razor on my toe.” Vi said, leaning down to retrieve the razor from the floor.

“Hair was growing out too much, decided it was time to cut it.” she replied while facing back towards the mirror, picking up a few strands here and there. “I don’t know how it’s looking so far though.” 

“I mean, it’s- well, it’s definitely something.” you say as you inspect her hair. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the worst, but it’s definitely not the best. All around, you can see the uneven hair poking out from different angles, knowing she most likely went in with scissors before pulling the razor out. And the back? Yeah, we’re not even going to discuss that.

“That’s not really helpful, you know?” she said with a groan, her head tipping slightly back as she tried to figure out how to salvage what’s left of her hair. “I could do it for you? If you want?”

Vi quickly spun around, almost giving herself whiplash in the process. “You? You wanna cut my hair?”. You could tell she was skeptical of the idea, her eyebrows slightly furrowed as she weighed her options in her head.

“Hell, you already messed up the front, which you could see might I add. So imagine what you would do on the back of your head? Especially with that razor.”

After a few seconds of silence and contemplating, Vi took a deep breath and handed you the scissors and the razor. She quickly jogged out of the room and came back with a chair, sitting in front of you and facing the mirror.

“Just don’t fuck it up. Please?” She muttered while relaxing in the chair. “How more fucked up could it get?” You replied with a chuckle while scanning her red locs. Vi rolled her eyes at your comment.

“Ugh- just be a peach and fix my hair, will ya?”

You slowly went back over her work with the scissors, making sure all her hair was cut evenly. After you finished that, you picked up the razor and began buzzing the side of her head. After about 30 minutes, you tapped her shoulder, drawing her attention to you.

“Alrighttt, all done!” Clapping your hands, you stand behind Vi as she inspects your work, and you can see the smile making its way up to her face.

“Well damn, who knew you were such a beautician? Thought I would have to go bald for a second.” you rolled your eyes at her comment, chuckling as you walked closer to her, wrapped your arms around her waist. “Just imagine if you finished it all by yourself, I don’t think I could even look at you if that happened.”

“Okay I wasn’t that bad.”

You gave her a deadpan look, slightly raising your eyebrows as if referencing what her hair looked like prior to you walking in.

“…okay, it was a little bad.” She said with a chuckle. “But you still love me. Shitty haircut or not.” she mumbled as she got closer to your lips. You met her half way, lips captured as you both shared this peaceful moment. Leaning back, you smiled while staring into her eyes, “Hmm, yeah, I guess do.”

How in the hell???

That’s all you could think as you watch your girlfriend, Violet, throw her head back and let out a boisterous laugh. Perfect straight teeth in full view. 

You both were currently visiting Vi’s family, the group deciding to hang out at the Last Drop after Vander closed for the night.

Everyone was kinda doing their own thing. Mylo, Claggor, and Ekko were by the jukebox, fighting over what song to play. You were hanging beside Powder while she worked on her newest gadget and gossiped to you about some girl in her class. And at the bar, there was Vander, Silco, and Vi.

Vi was sitting on the top of the bar, talking about anything and everything with Vander and Silco. You don’t know what Vander said, but it had Vi doubling over and laughing her heart out. But you just couldn’t help but stare at her mouth. You just could not understand how perfect her teeth were.

Of course you're glad your girlfriend has great hygiene, but let’s be real, after how many times she’s got punched in the face while in the ring, it’s just starting to confuse you now.

This isn’t the first time you’ve pondered over this question. Just last week you had to question how she kept her teeth so straight and flawless.

She was sitting down on the toilet seat, you standing between her legs as you patched her up. She was rambling on and on about a particular punch that she threw to one of her opponents that night, laughing at the thought of how easy it was for her to win.

She didn’t exactly leave out spotless though, having a bloody nose and busted lip. And while she was laughing, you couldn’t help but stare at the shiny white row of teeth. 

“Hey poindexter, you in there?” Powder said while snapping her fingers in front of your eyes, drawing you from your previous thoughts.

“Yeah, uh- just thinking about something.” You respond while swatting her hand out of your face.

“Must be something serious, you look like you’re about to fucking kill someone. You’re doing that straight scary face thing.”

“Was I? Sorry, it’s just- ugh never mind.” You sit back and pick up your drink, but your eyes couldn’t leave off of your girlfriend while she talks to her dad.

“Is it my sister? You look like you can’t draw your eyes away from her.” She says with a slight chuckle, looking down as she screws a screw into her gadget.

After a beat of silence, you shift your gaze from Vi to Powder. “I just don’t understand how someone’s teeth could be so perfect, you know?” Powder let out a short laugh, looking back at her sister. I mean, she gets where you’re coming from, Vi’s got the best teeth she’s ever seen.

After a few more hours, you and Vi were walking back to your apartment after hugging everyone goodbye. The walk was quiet but comforting, peaceful. Well, until it wasn’t.

“So, what had you staring at me all evening cupcake?” Vi said while swinging your interlocked fingers back and forth, her lips twitching into a faint smile.

You quickly look at her, letting out a quiet curse after stumbling over the uneven sidewalk after hearing Vi’s abrupt question.

“What?”

“You think I didn’t notice? I mean, I know I'm not the most observant person, but you didn’t really try to hide it. It was really obvious, actually.” Vi said while chuckling at the shocked expression on your face.

“You’re okay though, right? You had that look on your face like you’re about to kill someone.”

Okay, my face can not seriously give that impression…right?

Shaking your thoughts away, you turn to stare at your girlfriend. You turn back and stare in front of you. “I was just…admiring I guess.” You reply while still walking.

“Aww babe, I know you’re crazy about me but c’mon.” Vi replies with a smirk. You slightly shove her away, shaking your head.

“Sooo? What were you thinking about? How beautiful I am? How strong I look? Or did you want to make out, couldn’t help but notice that you couldn’t stop looking at my mouth.”

“Your teeth.”

Vi stops walking, which causes you to pause beside her. You look at her and instantly regret telling her the real reason that you stared at her the whole time.

“…My teeth?” Vi questioned. You could see the amusement dance across her face, and you can tell that she’s a few seconds away from laughing.

“Ugh, shut up.” You tell her as you pull her to continue walking. 

Vi bursts out laughing, body vibrating as the laughter escapes her lungs.

“Babe, are you serious? You were admiring my teeth?”

“It’s just- your teeth are perfect. Too damn perfect. After all the fights that you have been through, you’re telling me you haven’t lost at least one tooth?”

“Nope.” Vi responds, smirking down at you. “So how long have you been thinking about my teeth?”

After a few seconds of contemplating, you answer her question. “About a month.” You mumble while turning away from her. Anddd cue laughter.

After you both make it home, you thought that would be the end of the whole ‘you admiring her teeth’ convo. Boy were you wrong.

You were coming out of the shower, ready for bed when you heard Vi on the phone. As you get into bed and slide under the sheets, you notice her speaking to Powder.

“Alright, I love you too Pow Pow. Oh, yeah she’s here, probably finna dream about how perfect my teeth are.” Vi says, and you can hear Powder bark out a laugh on the other end of the phone.

“Violet!” You exclaim, staring at her with wide eyes. She quickly finishes her call and laughs as you swing a pillow her way.

“C’mon it’s nothing wrong with you thinking my teeth are so pretty. Besides, it's just Powder.”

“Whatever. Goodnight, love you.” You mumble while laying down. You hear Vi respond and cuddle up to you, both of you falling into a deep slumber.

Let’s just say, you definitely regret telling Vi about how perfect you found her teeth. You’re both brushing your teeth? She’s making sure you can see every molar. You’re both eating? She’ll ask you over and over again to check her teeth because she swears there’s some meat or lettuce stuck between them.

And forget only Powder knowing. For the next 2 weeks Mylo, Claggor, and Ekko could not shut up about it after Vi brung it up in front of them, joining Vi with the teasing. Hell, even Vander brought it up once or twice.

Yeah, you definitely regret telling her.

You were currently in your shared apartment with your roommate, Vi.

Bored out of your mind, you were sprawled across your bed while swiping on your phone. You suddenly heard the patter of feet in the hall, approaching your door.

With a quick knock but no time to respond, your door swings open and there stands Vi. Dressed in a black wife beater and a pair of gym shorts, her hair slightly damp indicating that she just hopped out of the shower.

“You know its rude to barge into someone’s room like that right?” You asked her while sitting up in your bed.

Shutting the door and making her way over to you, she flopped down onto your bed, taking up half of the space.

Looking towards you, she released a slight chuckle and propped her head up onto one of your pillows. “What do you mean? I knocked.” She replied with a tilt in her head.

“Did you hear me say to come in? No, you did not.” 

Snatching the pillow from underneath Vi’s head, you threw it in her face. “So, what do you want?” You finally asked, wondering what made her wander into your room in the first place.

Sitting back up she turned towards you with a glint in her eyes. A glint that made you curious, but mostly cautious. 

“Sooo you know how I’ve been thinking about getting new piercings right?” She asked you.

A few weeks ago, Vi asked for your opinion about if she should get new piercings or not. You ended up telling her that she should, but you never knew what she was planning on getting to begin with.

Nodding your head to her, you finally reply, “Yeah, did you pick out what piercing you wanted to get?” You ask. 

Nodding her head slightly, she looked back towards you, questioning if she should tell you or let the whole thing be a surprise. She decided on the latter.

After convincing you to come with her to get her new piercing, and shushing you every time you asked what she decided to get, you both got ready and headed out. There was an amazing tattoo parlor that also does piercings that was conveniently close to your guy's apartment, so the trip didn’t take long.

Entering the tattoo shop you can hear the soft music they have playing in the background. For a tattoo parlor, the place surprisingly gives off a homey and chill vibe.

Walking up to the desk, you see a big burly man with tattoos and piercings from head to toe. “Good evenin’ , my name’s Roy. How can I help you ladies?” The man, Roy, kindly asked.

“Yeah hey, I had a piercing appointment at 3:30 for Vi?” Vi replied to Roy while subtly looking around the area. This isn’t Vi’s first time here, remembering coming here with friends and liking the service and hospitality they offered.

“Okay, looks like you’re right on time! You and little miss can head behind that curtain and go to the room marked number 5. The person doing your piercing should be ready for you when you enter.” 

Chuckling at the small name, Vi nudged you and started to head towards the hall that led to the room. “C’mon little miss, can’t keep my piercer waiting can we?”

Rolling your eyes and smiling kindly at the man, you follow closely behind Vi. Upon entering the room, you see a younger man, around mid 20s or so, wiping down the table that Vi was expected to lay on.

“Hi guys, my name is Keith, and I will be your piercer for today. Okay, so which one of you is Vi?” he asked.

“That’ll be me.” Vi said while removing her hoodie and giving it to you to hold. Sitting in the chair in the corner of the room, you watch as Vi makes small talk with the piercer.

“Okay so if you can remove your shirt and lay back onto the bed, we can get started and get you out of here in no time. Sounds good?”

“Yeah, that sounds good.” Vi said while walking over to you to give you her phone and wallet as well.

“Umm, you good?” She had the audacity to ask you after seeing the frozen expression on your face. 

No, you were not good. You were far from good, because what piercing does Vi want to get that requires her to fully remove her shirt???

“Vi? Exactly what piercing are you getting?” You ask her. Giving you a smirk, she replies while lifting her shirt above her head, “Oh, I’m getting my nipples pierced.” 

You're dreaming. You had to be. Because there is no way that Vi just said that she was getting her nipples pierced and standing in front of you shirtless.

“Take a picture babe, it’ll last longer. Don’t worry, I won’t mind.”

“Shut the hell up and go get your damn piercings.” You urge while breaking eye contact with her, already hearing her chuckles of amusement while she walks over to the table.

After a short amount of time, Vi was done and all pierced up. Sitting up slowly from the bed, she turns to you, raising her eyebrows.

“So? What do you think cupcake?” She asks you, referencing to her freshly pierced chest.

Taking a short long peek at her chest, you admire the way the piercings look. The way the barbell piercings look on her skin and the way the light reflects off of the metal is a sight you wish to never forget.

After giving her your approval, and handing her back her shirt, she pulled it over her head with your help and you two made your way out of the building, thanking the staff as you left.

“So why didn’t you tell me you were getting your nipples pierced?” You ask Vi while walking towards the car.

“I wanted to surprise you.” She shrugs while smiling at you. “But i'm gonna warn you, I don’t really wanna keep the girls covered and be uncomfortable. So expect to see me walking around the house shirtless from now on.”

You stop walking, looking at her with a deadpan expression.

“Oh come on! I know you’ll love to see me like that anyway.” She says with a laugh. Giving her a short laugh, you quickly swat at her chest, hitting the fresh piercings.

“Son of a bitch that hurt!” Vi hissed you, clutching her freshly pierced chest.

"Oh hush you big baby and get in the car." You say to her with an amused smile on your face.
