“Elena is a wonderful soul and she has played a role in making me who I am today. She’s seen all the hate this world has held over the years and she accepts none of it. There’s this endless kindness to her and she helped me understand that it was okay to be true to yourself. In a way, she reminds me of Ragnor… my dear old friend, he taught me so much. He didn’t pity me, either. He doesn’t do pity. And like him, Elena is compassionate while also refusing to take my crap. I appreciate her, I love her, and I am forever thankful that she is one person I don’t have to watch go.” 

“Hello, magnus.” Alec greeted politely as he went over to put on a jacket. He would be lying if he said he didn’t like the look in the Warlocks eyes but he covered up non the less. “ H-how are you?”

His eyes roamed his chest in its entirety, starting at the bottom and climbing all the way to the top. He took in every rune, appreciating them like a thought-provoking painting and savoring the sight like the taste of a fine wine. Magnus brought a hand up to his mouth and brushed his thumb over his bottom lip. “I’m...stunning--good, I’m good.”

Before hervisitor had even knocked on the door, Elena was opening it, giving a smallsmile in greeting. “Was not expecting you”, she said, stepping aside, revealingthe inside of her apartment. “Come in, I’m baking.”

“You know I can’t stay away from you for long,” he grinned, eyes roaming the apartment after brushing past the other warlock. “I’ve always loved your place, Elena, there’s just something about it...” 

“Hey.”Alec had been training by himself all morning until he noticed someone walked in. “ Did you need something?”

It wasn’t often that Magnus was lost for words but...chest. Runes. Sweat. Messy, dark hair.

“Yes. Life will always be hard but it will always be beautiful. If I had forced myself to stay empty, I would have missed out on a feeling that has… rarely consumed me.”

“The tusk off of my small elephant statue. The person responsible... well, they’re in Australia now. I love portals.”

“Eyes. Their eyes tell me everything.”
