Today is off to a lovely but chilly start. Nothing major on the personal calendar but still in the midst of a major work project. Also I apparently still think it’s 2018. Glad to be trying this out. 

Not a bad way to start refocusing on proposal writing. :-)

So, apparently these are Brighid's plants. I discovered (to my horror and dismay) on Saturday morning that there was a fine, silky mold growing in some of the pots. I considered my options. And in the end, I used my candle lighter to burn away the mold - even on the seedlings themselves. On the sprouts I used the coolest part of the flame in small doses, and on the top of the soil where nothing had yet grown I pushed it right into the blue. All the mold was gone, and the sprouts (ESPECIALLY the marshmallow) grew - as much as an inch in that one day!!! So these plants apparently belong to Brighid, first because they are all healing plants, and second because they were delivered and toughened by fire.

AND THE SEEDS ARE ALREADY GERMINATING. We are all happy campers.

SO I got a great variety of seeds planted. Getting what basically amounted to LITTLE TINY GRAINS OF SAND (what you get when you're planting herbs) in 72 pods was quite the challenge, but I managed to get everything in. Even if nettles are probably going to sprout in several different pots (they were frisky). These were planted on Wednesday, February 8th. 

I continue to feel that honeybees are getting beaten by the sh*t stick at every opportunity. Melissa, save the bees!

I ALWAYS enjoy the Nutcracker, of course, but these are some great tips and tidbits about a fantastic ballet!

This is why I love Wegmans. Tonight, my furbabies are having duck. Ham was another variety they had. DUCK and HAM!

Will mean getting rid of lots of things, though. Maybe we should build a second tiny house for my yarn...
