“Is that all you’ve got to say for yourself, then?”

“I’m afraid so.”

“Do it! Do it! Do it!”

“I was hoping for some sage advice buying real estate, but the encouragement is welcome too.”

“I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve got an extra, if you’d like. You can have the queen.”

“A Sibling swap could be interesting. I always wanted nieces and nephews and kids running around, but that didn’t happen.”

“Indeed, it is always a great thing when someone is able to turn their life around for the better.  It certainly gave us this opportunity to talk.  I do hope you will give me a ring if you ever want to explore more or just need a friend to hang out with.”

“I definitely will. I enjoy the company.”

“I could not even begin to imagine that. Vic is the yang to my ying. How did you manage?”

“That does not sound good, but I am glad you got the help you needed.”

“I think that is an accurate summary of most family.”

“I’m very much an only child, but my mom makes up for it.”

Victor’s tried to keep a straight face, though his eyebrows raised slightly as he looked at Arabella with a stunned expression.  “Oh, I had no idea that it was that bad.”

“I was in the hospital for a time.”

“Lady’s choice.”

“You sure about that?”

“That is good.  Glad you are in a good place.”

“It would have killed me if I hadn’t.”

“Mothers always know how to traumatize best.”

“She’s loving, yet smothering sometimes. They definitely do.”

“Understandable, reminds me a bit of my twin sister.”

“It took a while, but I finally got myself in a good place.”

“And why are you involved in the business? You look a little young to be a penny pincher. I think that’s the phrase I’ve heard.”

“I enjoy it. I’m really adept at negotiating.”

“Do you mind me asking you why you missed on some of that?  You do not have to answer if it is too personal.  I am just a curious person is all.”

“I was rambunctious and didn’t have my priorities in the right places.”

“That is slightly disturbing, although it bodes very well in terms of child care and for your future.”

“Trust me. It disturbs me more than anyone I know.”
