This is plain transmisogyny. I expect better from the rest of you than to accept that.

Do we have a right to know? Does harm need to be not simply public, but actively publicised for years, even after it has been adressed? Is this then a campaign that we should support? Is this information an account without moral weight, or is part of an ongoing pattern? Do we, really, have a right to know? To be spreading this, years after it has been adressed?

Do we have a reason to act? Has the crime been too horrid, has sarah been too dangerous, too unrepentant, that she must be removed from all communities, lest she be a danger to those around her? Is this how you see her, then? A danger? Is this judgment fair, unbiased, or is it a hate mob?

Should she be removed from her job? Is this something we have the right to do, remove a girl from her only source of income, her only way to live? Is she dangerous enough that she must not work anymore? Is sarah so much a "danger", for her "unrepentant" "crimes" that she must die?

Are the hate messages in my inbox, calling me a rape apologist, a disgusting man, or a pedophile, sent by people rightfully upset? Are they simply trying to apply anti-carceral justice, and upset that i would not accept to remove myself from her, to make her yet more isolated? Are they right, or is this a hate mob?

What terrible crime is worth the punishment that seems reserved only for transgender women? Why indeed is it only trans women that are punished? Do we see cis people, broken down, torn up, like this? Trans men, to anywhere near the same fequency?

Are trans women just that more dangerous than non trans women? Is this just "actually not a hate mob this time it's real", for the thousandth time?

Today it’s mostly famous for what it looks like on the inside.

It has an equestrian staircase though it’s so smooth it’s really just a gentle slope more than a staircase. It was build like that so our lazy bum king could ride his horse all the way to the top (king not in photo)

And naturally people have also driven cars up the tower

And held a bike race

For a while it was just sort of abandoned by the authorities and became a spiraling marketplace

But today it has been restored and become a tourist spot as well as a popular destination for school trips. And yes, you can still watch the cosmos at the top.

At the end of the month I'm moving, and after the move I will have levels of medical access that I haven't seen in quite some time. I will be between four and six medications, for my HRT, ADHD, severe agoraphobia, and so on. I will also be pursuing dental work at least to the point of getting me out of pain if not yet able to comfortably eat, physiotherapy, and maybe some of psychotherapy.

Because I am a trans woman with immigration-related legal documentation issues, I have spent years being discriminated against by medical gatekeepers. This will no longer be a problem for me next month, but I am still potentially looking at a medication budget of like $100 a month without even getting into all the service stuff I need.

Due to discrimination as a transitioning teenager I was not able to finish high school and this has compounded a lot of my other life problems. Once I am housing-stable and capable of functioning in the real world (which I don't think will take more than a couple months, tbh) I'm going to be pursuing a university education.

This all sounds like it would be super expensive but fortunately I am soon to be in a country these things are not free, but not particularly expensive either, and I am not expecting intense institutional barriers other than the financial ones of having so many of these expenses adding up. But it is an expense. You understand.

$2000 will put me in a great position to do all of this while $1000 will get the ball rolling and every bit between here and there helps as well.

I never really realised how much difference it makes until I went to England and realised that here the change of seasons is an obvious, visible, physical change in the world. Like, everything REALLY IS orange and foggy in autumn! In spring there are flowers EVERYWHERE, so much more than any other season, and the trees really do have all blossom and no leaves. Even if it doesn't snow, in winter there's frost all the time and the trees are bare and the sky is visibly greyer all the time. You don't need to be told "this date is the first day of spring", you can SEE IT (although this is getting way messier and less precise due to climate change).

By contrast, most places in Australia the seasons we're taught feel like arbitrary categories - and is it any surprise considering they're colonial constructs? Orange-leaved autumn and blossom-covered spring is a cartoon stereotype with no relevance on a continent where ALL NATIVE TREES ARE EVERGREEN!! Snowy winters are a joke in the desert, and even sunny summers don't ring particularly true considering that much of the country is in the tropics, where summer means monsoons - not that I've ever seen the concept that WE HAVE A MONSOON SEASON taught at an Australian school.
