I was a couple dollars short in my bank account this morning when they tried to take a bill payment and so of course they charged me $50 for not having money. And I needed that to, you know, buy groceries and gas since I dont have a job.

Im selling plasma today but I need it for my phone bill 🙃

This is not about politics. If armed settlers threaten U.S. citizens and soldiers help detain them, wouldn't that merit an investigation?

hi there it's princess/nova back again, i'm really sorry i have to come here like this but me and my wife are still struggling abandoned by our families and unable to reach any of our friends. we've been trying to survive without me being exposed to harassment but at this point we're going hungry. we don't have any income and need help affording food for ourselves and our kitties please if you can, donate. ICE kills again, this time in Maine.

Immigrant advocates call for transparent investigation

The Maine Immigrants' Rights Coalition and Presente! Maine called for state and federal authorities to conduct a "prompt, independent, and transparent investigation" of each agency and officer involved in the shooting.

"ICE must not be allowed to investigate itself or control the public narrative surrounding a death in which its personnel or operations were involved," the advocacy groups said in a news release Monday afternoon. "We also call on our elected officials to invest in a fair, functional, and humane immigration system, not further expansion of immigration enforcement, and to strengthen protections that prevent local resources from being diverted toward federal immigration enforcement."

Immigrant organizations identify man who died as immigrant from Colombia

The Maine Immigrants' Rights Coalition and Presente! Maine said the person who died in the shooting is a 26-year-old Colombian man.

Presente! said the man was authorized to work in the U.S. and had been issued a Social Security number.

"He was a member of our community, a neighbor, and a human being whose life was cut tragically short. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and everyone now grieving this unimaginable loss," the organizations said in a statement.

The organization said the shooting was not reported through MIRC's Immigrant Defense hotline, but other ICE activity in the area had been.

hi everyone, its puppet! you may know it from getting terminated constantly and having to remake its dono posts a lot. sadly it has to aaagain.

so, puppets a homeless and disabled trans woman, and it cant work, has been couch crashing, and has been living purely off donations from tumblr as they keep terminating it. and now on top of that, it is living with its girlfriend, @phantomqueen10001001! while this has been great for both of us,, puppet already only has enough money for food for the next 1-2 weeks, and we both really need to eat. and so we would really appreciate if anyone could help!
