Baked Egg Boats are a delightful and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish. They feature eggs baked inside hollowed-out baguettes with a cheesy and savory twist. Perfect for a weekend morning treat!
Ingredients: 4 small baguettes. 4 large eggs. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons butter.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Slice off the tops of the baguettes and hollow them out, leaving about a 1/2-inch thick shell. Spread butter inside each baguette shell. Place the hollowed-out baguettes on a baking sheet. Crack an egg into each baguette shell, being careful not to break the yolk. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the eggs. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the egg whites are set, but the yolks are still slightly runny. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped green onions on top. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious baked egg boats!
