remus driving sirius into town in his old pickup truck because sirius’ fancy car got stuck in the mud outside the country house. sirius inviting remus to swim after work and trying very hard not to stare when remus takes his shirt off. remus teaching rich city boy how to climb over fences, skip stones on the lake, and start bonfires properly. him falling asleep in a hammock behind the greenhouse after working all day in the heat and sirius sitting nearby because he doesn’t want to wake him. sirius staying the entire summer in the countryside because leaving remus suddenly sounds unbearable.

This change up is far more complex and beautiful. Two women navigating love, loss and societal stigmas is much better story than a guy who seduces his cousin's wife and threatens her with impregnation if they don't get married.
