Patrick wasn’t always evil per say but let’s just say he had a LOT of psychopathic tendencies that went ignored by his parents cause of the “he’ll get over it soon” mentality, for example

•burning ants alive

•Giving Sean to the mailman cause he didn’t want a brother and wanted him shipped to Guatemala

•Being a menace at dodgeball

•Stealing other children’s toys and keeping them for himself but if he did return them made sure he “fixed” them himself

honestly i see it!! heavy on the part where his parents didn't do anything because they thought he'd get over it. personal headcannon is that they were kinda negligent so partly his behaviour was outlandish so that he'd get their attention. as he got older he just quietly executed his antics.
