In Indian customs, Henna is applied to the hands of feet on occasions of celebrations. I found inspiration in the application process of henna. The application of henna, like many art forms, does distinctively portray the movement of time. From an empty hand to one adorned with art, I captured movement by photographing the palm at eight ascending stages of the application process.

Take a deep breath. Pick up the largest black marker you can find. And. Draw away.
