Escapism Personified

-it starts at the hospital. a kid is admitted with severe bruising, a broken rib, and a dislocated finger. he refuses to talk to anyone except for levi (bc levi just has that way with people) and he says he got beat up by some guys on his high school’s football team. says the coach saw it happen and didn’t stop them until he stopped moving and then left him there

-levi is furious and he calls the cops (which he had to do anyway bc the kid is a minor) and his parents and social services

-and it turns out the football team has been targeting this kid for awhile, and the coach totally knew

-and the coach ends up getting fired

-and he shows up at the hospital demanding to see the “little f–t doctor who cost him his job” etc. etc.

-and levi is told to avoid the e.r. while other people handle it, but he still ends up face to face with him bc he’s levi and an idiot and he wants to tell the guy off

-the guy takes a swing and levi falls back but doesn’t get hit or hurt

-and the cops show up and haul him away

-later he and the b team are at joe’s (he’s waiting for nico to get off and he’s pretty shaken up) and the guy shows up at the bar and grabs levi and starts yelling

-and then casey is. right there. and takes the guy out and joe’s already called the cops bc there’s not going to be any homophobic trash in his bar obviously the guy is banned

-nico shows up as the cops are leaving and levi has ice on his wrist

-and nico’s like what the fuck happened

-levi tells him this homophobic asshole decided he wanted to beat up the gay doctor who got him fired for negligence.

-nico is like what the fuck and he wants to go beat the guy up but casey took care of it, and he’s freaking out a lot but trying to act calm and levi can tell he’s upset so he just

-hops off the barstool and gives the ice pack back, takes nico’s hand and is like, let’s go home

-and nico hates that levi got hurt so much

-hates that anyone would attack levi like that. he’s dealt with homophobes before but he’s used to it

-and he’s a little worried that maybe it will scare levi away (he’s an idiot wcyd) bc this is his first brush with homophobia

-and they sit on the couch with the room lit by candles and nico cradles levi’s wrist and kisses it softly and whispers that he’s sorry and levi is brave and strong

-and levi tells him that it isn’t the first time he’s been bullied just for being who he is. it shook him up but he’s not going to shy away from being out just because some guy has a problem with it

I pity the #Warcraft mobs sometimes.
