Two years ago I belatedly learned of a dear friend’s death. The shock of someone having had been long gone is rife with guilt and again loss for a first time. Those elder/friend loves, when they go we, are all transitioned. Even when still, the traffic remains; I’m ever reminded that the earth spins and death and life are the same building in which the temporal universe is housed. I continue to wish I’d told the homie I loved him. These images were not made as a type of realized concept to his transitioning, but were edited as a near-present situational memory of when our family might have relocated to a new town for a new job and when the kids were in an age. All of us are ever meditations in and of an age. I was still, sitting in the hotel bed when reminded that pauses are personal intervals.
