Adam nearly facepalmed - he really should ask Anna or Adam - possibly both, actually - one of these days about if there were ways to keep out specific demons but not others. Crowley he could deal with - he was barely ‘evil’ to begin with, much less after him, but others; those he really didn’t want to have to deal with.
He glanced down at the salt line. “Yeah, I…I thought it might be a good idea. Precautions. Adam’s got one of ‘em next to his door, too.” He swept away a little bit of the salt and pulled Crowley in over the broken line, almost immediately pulling a small salt shaker out of his pocket and dumping a whole new line down. “Nothing, really. Anna’s branded my ribs with some sigils so it’s harder to find me.”
Adam wondered how Crowley found him at all, at this point - wasn’t he an angel once, too? He probably just expected Adam to be at home, which made sense -after everything that’d happened recently, he really didn’t go out much. (Though he was a particularly restless boy, and when he needed out, he needed out.)
Crowley was somewhat surprised when Adam actually brushed aside some salt and dragged him inside. The broken line did nothing to him--the demon was about to point out that this was hardly a good thing if there was ever a demon tailing him, but Adam quickly fixed the line without this prodding.
He raised an eyebrow at the action. Someone was teaching the kid useful habits. He didn't mind, seeing as it saved him the trouble. "Anna?" Despite there being more people than ever, it felt like London was getting smaller. He examined the line of salt again.
"You could use some angel proofing. Lucifer was technically an angel." He glanced around until he found an envelope for a bill and a pen on a table. He picked the objects up and paused for a moment to recall exactly the symbol required, scribbling it out. Crowley held it out for Adam for a fraction of a second before taking it back and drawing something else on the envelope. "And this one is for demons, in case you didn't know." Perks of having been both: he knew both symbols pretty well.
Usually, locks knew their place with Crowley. It usually took only one try for them to realize that locking Crowley from wherever he intended to go was a lost cause. Crowley’s flat was well attuned to this and knew the drill of unlocking itself when Crowley appeared and locking again when he left.
The opposite was to be said of any place Adam Young lived in. Crowley tried opening the door to Adam’s apartment and was immediately met with the normal resistance anyone would have run into. The demon sighed and took a step back and knocked on the door. As he waited for an answer, he realized it probably would have been a better idea to call ahead of time, but this visit was on a whim.
After everything that happened with the Devil and with Anna, Adam decided to take a few leaves out of Adam Milligan’s book and set up some precautions for safe keeping. He’d already sprinkled some salt near each doorway and on every window sill, and he was considering asking Anna if she could make some holy water for him that he could keep in one of those spray bottles. He’d heard a story once about that sort of thing working.
He was currently sitting on his dingy little couch, trying not to make too much noise as Wensleydale was sleeping and he really didn’t want to have to hear him bitching, and reading a new comic book that Pepper had lent him. She’d said it was called ‘The Sandman’.
There was a knock at the door. That was weird. Usually, someone would call him if they were coming over. He looked down at the salt line in front of the door again and figured if someone bad was coming after him, he’d be safe. He opened it up - oh, it was just Crowley. That was weird. He usually texted. “What’s goin’ on?”
As the door opened, Crowley glanced down at the line of salt in the doorway. Vaguely, he wondered where Adam would learn a trick like that, but he didn't worry about it too much. It was just what the boy needed.
"That's what I came to ask you," said Crowley, nonchalantly. "With everything going on, I wanted to make sure you were prepared." He gestured downwards at the salt line. "But I see you've got that covered." He raised and eyebrow and looked over Adam's shoulder, attempting to look into the room. "What else did you set up?" He asked, immediately thinking of a few ways to demon-proof a room.
It occurred to him that thinking about demon-proofing was typically not something a demon should be considering, but he wrote it off as a general lack of trust demons had with each other. Nothing unusual.

Hiatus warning Adam Young, Anathema Device, and Alastair.
Just got a text from Scout and she says she'll probably not be around this weekend since she's moving and her parents have probably already gotten rid of the cable.

“Yes, pizzas” Anna repeated. She wondered if this was one of the friends that Balthazar had met in the ridiculous clubs he frequented. Well, that excluded the man being a Jehovah’s witness. Not that he really looked like one.
Anna leaned slightly forward to observe the bill, her eyes widening before they narrowed. “Not little at all” she muttered. ‘There are better ways to spend your time on Earth’ she thought as she stepped aside.
“Come in” she said. “He’s probably hiding in the bathroom.” She paused. “You could take some of his stuff if you wanted. Though not the dvd player. Or the television. Or the microwave, we’ll need that for the popcorn.” It wasn’t her apartment and Balthazar could easily replace them.
Crowley nodded as she repeated the word, debating announcing that he would come back later, they were obvious busy doing...whatever Balthazar would be doing with a girl who knew his real name and didn't look like she stepped drunkenly out of a club. But then she leaned forward to observe the bill and it was too late, she was inviting him in.
“Hiding?” He asked as he stepped inside Balthazar’s flat again. He casually sidestepped around Anna so he was near the bathroom and said just loud enough so his voice would travel, “TV, DVD player, and popcorn? Are you having a movie night?” He smirked with his back to the door of the bathroom and would have winked at the girl, had he not been uncertain of how she would react to glowing yellow snake eyes.
“Funny, Balthazar didn’t strike me as the type.” Crowley leaned against the wall next to the bathroom door and waited for the man to show himself, fiddling with the paper in his hands.
