Fury of Connous

Wake up, go to school, go to work, come back home, sleep, and repeat. If the routine ever changed, it had to be for something urgent otherwise such an occurrence was just downright strange. This cycle never broke and Tetsuo tried his best to keep it consistent. His friends always invited him to go out for some bites, for some drinks, or just for a night out. He always declined such offers. It wasn’t that he didn’t like them, obviously that would be untrue since they were Tetsuo’s friends. It was just that he really tried to stick to his regular schedule; one he thought would eventually  lead to him making his parents proud. Perhaps they were already very proud of him, but Tetsuo wanted to go all the way. That would be graduating from university in good academic shape. Only then would he feel he was really done with redeeming himself after having been such a nuisance to his parents.. Everything was going smoothly and uninterrupted, according to him, until one day he was confronted by one of he students at the university he attended. Like most, the student was intimidated by Tetsuo’s large stature and hard stare so they were nervous when they spoke to him. The student told him that their friend asked of them to send a request to Tetsuo so that he’d pass by the dorms and tutor them. Tetsuo was a cold person and he usually never hesitated to be honest when he felt it was necessary. This time he viewed the situation as an opportunity to learn some more despite understanding all taught concepts fairly well, though, so he didn’t decline. He said he would pass by. The student gave him a slip with the dorm number and quickly excused their self. That was how Tetsuo ended up knocking at the door of a dorm in a building he never took particular interest in. His parents had tried to insist that he live on campus but he wouldn’t hear any of it. It was more expensive than just living at home. And, like most students, he didn’t have a scholarship covering living costs as well so family would have to cover the costs if they themselves couldn’t find a way. He looked a bit impatiently down at his book bag slung over his shoulder and waited for an answer. He simply wanted to get it done as quick as possible.

"...hello. Come in and just uh...make yourself comfortable." As awkward as he might have sounded, he couldn't help but be weighed down by his presence. He hoped their session would go by without any trouble.
