I don't even go here but I love when you post AUs and crossovers and "I'm changing canon to this" posts bc you're the only other person I know that does it and it makes me feel better about playing with dolls like that lol. goodbye canon this is my continuity now!

Honestly, sometimes I just want the chance to expand on a relationship or a dynamic, or explore something that canon didn't go too in-depth on because that's the fun part of stories for me. Why take it at face value when I can fill in the gaps? And then there are times where the canon is just Bad or I don't care for it, so I throw it out and do what I want because there are better options or more interesting routes to explore.

Canon is more of a guideline than an actual rule, and I'll follow it until it leaves a gap for me to bridge and fill in or it goes somewhere uninteresting when there was a way more fun option over there.
