Tonight we are hosting our holiday Chatzy event! At 10pm GMT/5pm EST we will post the link in our Discord and OOC Chat and everybody is free to dip in and out throughout the evening. If this is your first time using the site click here for our brief intro to Chatzy.
The event is by the Seine and open to the general public. By night beautiful lights festoon the street lamps, shop walls, bridges and trees. All along are quaint, festive stalls selling their wares, mulled wine and produce. Littered throughout are buskers and performers celebrating the jolly season.
It is with a heavy heart we are to make a great few changes here at AF. Our lovely admins Sophia and Katie have chosen to step down and of course I wish them both the best of luck. I, Jazz, will continue our legacy in this RP as I believe we all have stories we wish to carry out and so it is with a heavy heart I announce this unfollow list. This RP will always be the lovechild of the three of us and they will always be welcome back with open arms.Â
And now owing to the increased responsibility, I will sadly have to make Guillaume an NPC so I can give my muses the time they deserve. He will exist within the universe, so all the relationships formed are still present and by all means if you wish to drop him in conversation that would warm my cockles greatly.

BIOGRAPHY
Born Antoinette Aucoin, bastard daughter of a scullery maid employed on a large, wealthy estate in the French countryside not far from Paris. Antoinetteâs mother was cast aside after her employer, a married father or three, impregnated her, falsely accused of stealing the silverware. Falling on the mercy of the church, Antoinette was raised in a nearby abbey whilst her mother was employed there. From the very beginning, Antoinette was a difficult child. As a baby, she all but drove her mother insane with her colic cries â never able to settle, never content. Antoinette would be described by no one as a happy child. She particularly took issue with authority, something that was almost always a point of contention with the nuns. Unable to abide by rules, Antoinette always felt more than impulse â almost compulsion â to be as obstructive and uncooperative as possible. The only thing the nuns ever managed to instil in her was an obsession with cleanliness, which has remained with her all her life. Her mother passed away from consumption shortly after her twelfth birthday, and so she lost her only tenable connection in the world. After her death she was forced to assume her motherâs duties to keep her lodgings in the abbey, and was able to do so for four years until she was finally cast out at the age of fourteen for sneaking a boy into her bed.
Upon parting, she was given nothing from the nuns but her motherâs journals, and so Antoinette was left with nothing to do but read and survive. Her fatherâs identity finally revealed to her through the journals, and his gross treachery documented alongside her motherâs pain and despair, Antoinette was filled with rage and a desire for vengeance. It was then that she made her first kill. His grand estate was not far from the abbey, a sickening contrast to the poverty she and her mother had endured, and Antoinette felt no remorse watching the life drain out of her fatherâs eyes. With no money and barely any possessions to her name, Antoinette managed to beg a ride to Paris. There, she fell into the underbelly of the city, half urchin, half Jill-of-all-trades â where there was money to be made, Antoinette was willing to do almost anything to make it and keep herself alive. When France went to war, whether it was patriotism or pure fury, Antoinette determined to make something of herself beyond the alleys of Paris. Head shorn and chest bound, she enlisted and fought her way to glory, her first kill all those years ago being lost amongst countless more.
After the war, and upon her return to Paris, Antoinette found that nothing much there had changed, whilst nothing felt the same to her. There was no grand reception waiting for her after her all-too-short military career, and she was no longer the shining star of her battalion. From there, so used to death as she now was, her descent into the darkest parts of the underbelly were entirely organic. She was no longer Antoinette Aucoin â quickly adopting instead the mononymous âManonâ â her late motherâs name â killer for hire, to anyone in Paris who could follow the whispers and pay her price.
POTENTIAL PLOTS/CONNECTIONS
Iâd like to explore the inner conflict Manon would have in becoming closer to people, romantically or platonically, being so opposed to trusting people and particularly in the line of work that she does. Would also be amazing to do some grand murder at some point that had some sort of ripple effect.
