i think whether it's subconscious or not, lisa's strategy is ultimately right cause this game is like poker -- if u have strength but show it too early no one will bet against you and u won't be able to fish their money out of them by understating yourself. and if you truly do have a weak hand, it's better to make a moderately-sized bet anyway cause there's always a chance of improving it or lying well enough that ppl believe you have something better. so yeah, positioning yourself as a safe person to take to the end and playing on the strength of ur vote is the best possible strategy for someone who isn't physically fit enough to win challenges
