Have you ever loved a pair of eyes so deep,
So beautiful they stole your every breath?
How tragic that behind their lovely gleam
The wind brings nothing but the void of death.
Those darkened pupils hide a barren land,
So merciless, relentless, cold, and wild.
They tear apart the souls they gently trap,
And steal away the spring from every heart.
If only in that deep and haunting gaze
There dwelled a soul as radiant and true,
I’d give up everything without a trace
To keep the flame that brought my heart anew
But there is only emptiness within,
Its shattered fragments strike with ruthless might,
Destroying love, respect, and honest hearts,
Until no hope remains, no morning light.
It builds cold fences forged of lifeless steel,
That choke the dreams tomorrow might reveal.
P.S. For the one who will never know these words were always meant for them.
