भावार्थ:- संत नानक जी ने कहा कि हे भाई! इस मृत्युलोक में सब नाशवान हैं। पता नहीं किसकी जाने की बारी कब आ जाए? इसलिए जिनके सिर पर मौत गर्ज रही हो, उस व्यक्ति को नाचना-गाना, हँसी-मजाक कैसे अच्छा लगेगा? मूर्ख या नशे वाला व्यक्ति इस गंदे लोक में खुशी मनाता है। जैसे एक व्यक्ति की पत्नी को विवाह के दस वर्ष पश्चात् पुत्र हुआ। उसके उत्पन्न होने की खुशी में लड्डू बनाए, बैंड-बाजे बजाए, उधमस उतार दिया। अगले वर्ष जन्म दिन को ही मृत्यु हो गई। कहाँ तो जन्मदिन की खुशी की तैयारी थी, कहाँ रोआ-पीटी शुरू हो गई। घर नरक बन गया। अब मना लो खुशी।
