I hope Azzi being on the wings, doesn’t end up how it was for Veronica Burton when she was on the Suns. The suns didn’t utilize Veronica, and had her coming off the bench. It wasn’t until Veronica when to the Valkyries that she blossomed. Veronica and Azzi have a lot of similarities when it comes to their playing styles/abilities.

Here’s my take: Do I think Azzi could be ROTY, yes I do. The only person that can stop Azzi from being ROTY is Azzi herself. It’s obvious she is an amazing player, but you can tell when she is in her head. Whenever Azzi is in her head she starts to be passive, and overthink things. Yes her team could have gave her the ball more, but the same thing happened to Paige last year several times, and Paige still was dropping 15+ most games. Azzi lack of confidence, gets in the way a lot of times. That’s the difference between her and Olivia/Flau’jae, Olivia and Flau’Jae have been playing better in the preseason because it’s clear how confident they are.
YES I agree with this! Azzi’s confidence has always been her issue that’s why I’m done with it for now. Until she figures out that she deserves it and she is a great player

Azzi is a player who needs to get in a rhythm and get confidence in order to play well. Putting her on the bench and giving her limited minutes/touches is not building her confidence. I don’t get why they would draft her if they aren’t going to use her properly. I hope azzi advocates for herself.
