I honestly loved drawing her design so much! Went with the idea of her and Lloyd having a date on a bridge! Those cutie patooties, them!

Both have reasons to be jealous of the other. Misako jealous of the fact Koko didn’t have a prophecy to deal with and could settle down to raise her son in peace, something Misako would’ve given anything to be able to do. On the other hand Koko might be jealous of the fact Misako isn’t held down by the label of “Garmadon’s (ex-)wife”. Sure she deals with her own BS from The Explorer’s Club but people aren’t out here harassing her and her Lloyd at every opportunity because of their connection to Garmadon.

They’ve both faced their own hardships, both made choice that hurt the person they care about most (Lloyd). And I think they would really bond over their shared experiences.

I like to imagine Jay is in contact with Libber. She’s not a mother figure to him by any means, more like the cool wine aunt who teaches him how to get away with tax evasion and stuff like that. She spends her days traveling the world and sends Jay packages of souvenirs and snacks from various continents. The rest of the Dorksquad are very appreciative of the snacks

Libber was young and dumb when she hooked up with Cliff, zapped the crap out of him when she found out he had a wife. She’s absolutely uninterested in being the “other woman” in the first place and even more pissed Cliff lied about it. She made a written contract with Cliff that, if she got pregnant, the kid would be his problem and not her’s. This is a choice she regrets in the present day, recognizing she got lucky that, as much of a moron as Cliff is, he left Jay to good people. But it would’ve been better for her to guarantee that herself instead of halfheartedly trusting Cliff to take care of it.

But we know it can happen through outside intervention within the Dream World (Mateo, Izzie, and Cooper being hit with the blast from Lunia’s hourglass or Lunia/Theresa-Maria herself likely being awakened by Andromeda), and for others (like Zoey) it seemingly just kinda… happens to them one day. Potentially Beau’s line about it “running in the family” could be more literal than even Beau knew since it makes sense the daughter of two Dream Chasers would be more likely to acquire aware dreaming.

But then there’s the Logan of it all. Logan’s an oddball in more ways than one in the Dream World, with his Beastcrafting and all, but how he became an aware dreamer is still kind of a mystery. At the time of season 1 it was easy to assume gaining knowledge of the Dream World could awaken someone, but we see through Nova in season 2 that that isn’t the case. There’s the possibility that Logan was already an aware dreamer BEFORE season 1 and just didn’t realize it (because let’s be real that kinda checks out for Logan), but there’s no evidence to suggest that he was prior to episode 3.

Anyway, time to reintroduce Tumblr to Cinco Polilla!

(Yes their name is just the Spanish word for “five”- they’re part of a set of OCs whose names are all number puns and MAYBE we cheaped out on the “pun” aspect a few times)

Anyway, Cinco is the Master of Mind for the movieverse, child of Neuro’s counterpart, Cosmia (who is a trans woman! “Neuro” was her alias in the days of the Elemental Alliance). Cinco doesn’t actually… know they have an elemental power. This has escalated to a comical point where they have unlocked their True Potential AND regularly utilize their powers without knowing about it. They just assume everyone around them constantly speaks aloud without realizing it, and has led to multiple instances of Cinco offering unsolicited advice to friends, classmates, and strangers alike.

As may be obvious by their design, last name, AND Ma’s name (also they have two moms! Cosmia goes by “Ma” while Cinco’s other mom, Marie, is “Mom”)- they’re part love moths. It’s their special interest (that and rays! But mostly moths). They could go on for hours about different moth species, and spend most of their free time either looking for moths or hanging out in the entomological section of the Ninjago City Zoo, where both their moms work and Cinco part-times at.

At school, Cinco is primarily friends with Kai, though has started bonding with Lloyd and Jay in their shared science class. They met Kai through their first period philosophy class, which… quickly devolved into a “conspiracy class” where their teacher gets a planning period and the students run a whole period together about various conspiracies and theories they have about their city. As you can probably guess Cinco primarily focuses on cryptids like Mothman and the like, though they’re actually very intelligent and are very helpful in connecting the dots for their friends’ theories. Most people are shocked at this upon witnessing it for the first time, as Cinco can be… spacey. When they’re going they are going but, most of the time? They’re staring off into space, probably thinking about moths or something else. Or maybe accidentally reading someone’s mind.

The obstacle course is the biggest and most obvious example, as well as one everyone was talking about when S1 of Dragons Riding first came out. Lloyd assumed the whole “beat it before I finish my tea” thing was literal, that it was a test of time. Of course this is an entirely incorrect assumption. It’s a test of ingenuity, using your resources to buy yourself more time if you can’t hasten the task at hand. But Lloyd didn’t understand that and couldn’t effectively teach it.

I guess the thing is like- Lloyd isn’t Wu. He’s trying to be Wu but he isn’t him and thus he can’t just ctrl+c ctrl+v all of Wu’s lessons and have it work. He needs to do things his own way and branch out his own pa-
