I know this is cheesy, but whenever I'm feeling down and out, this is the song that brings me back. I can't help the happiness, it's inevitable. I'm currently experiencing PRMD (Post-ReMu-Depression), so needless to say, this song has been on repeat for a while.

What a beautiful, beautiful day. Today, the light inside me sees, appreciates, and loves the light of the world.

I tend to wake up with this stuck in my head on a regular basis. Never a bad thing. In fact, it's a good thing. A very good thing.

Something good happened today, but I can't share it. Instead, here's a something else good (by the same name):

Today, while wandering the night-shaded streets of New York City in hopes of finding tea to soothe my aching throat, I spied a penny, nestled between the cracks in the pavement. Now, I believe in two things when it comes to street pennies: 1) if it's heads up, pick it up. It's lucky. 2) if it's tails up, flip it over so that the next wandering soul can have a spot of luck. I like to improve the world in all the little ways I possibly can, so naturally, as I stooped down and spotted the tails, I flipped it; nothing out of the ordinary. But then much to my surprise, as I stood, I locked eyes with passing stranger, and she flashed me a knowing smile. I love that. We shared an unexpected moment, this stranger and I. We shared a fluttering connection, that of two people hoping to sprinkle a little luck back into the universe. Just two penny-flippers finding one another in a split second.

What irrefutable shtank. Ellington is everything.
