What’s more, she was wrong about what MLK said in the “Letter From Birmingham Jail”. It does not speak about white moderates’ “silence” but directly about white moderates themselves. Because just like above, they tout themselves as the good ones but are mostly commited to holding the status quo & ignoring Black voices until they want to grandstand.

MLK Jr. knew what’s up. White liberals are not immune to anti-black racism and their transgressions against black people like speaking over black people, being tone-deaf when the topic of racism is brought up, and referring black people rightfully speaking out as “angry” and “aggressive” are just as harmful as the racist policies and laws created by white conservatives. 

White liberalism can be just as racist, they hide it better but this is an example of an “ally”, taking it upon themselves to whitesplain to the “dumb” helpless black women because they are the authority on racism, not actual black women. The audacity of this white woman to act like a victim of “angry black women” as if her actions didn’t rightfully invoke such anger. White feminism and white liberalism really go hand in hand sometimes.
