The other side of freedom

A room full of darkness, a wall of light I stumble through verses, but make sure to smile. I know that you're out there, but what if you're here tonight? I'll finally get to sing the song I've memorized

A deal with the soundman; to let me pack up. My spirit is empty, and so is my cup. "Hey mister bar man, something for this pain," That's when I turned and saw your eyes, and they said:

Meet me on the other side of freedom. Show me where the ocean makes its sand Kiss me under cover of the dipper I don't care which, the small or the big, just give me a kiss.

And every day this song gets better Dark clouds just bring us together So bring along the stormy weather 'cuz when it rains, I can hear you sing:

A barn all alone

A stable swings open, a mare is set free. A stirrup is shaken, a bit without teeth.

I may not make a difference, but it's different to me The winter is long, the barn all alone, as lonely as me.

Who's going to tell her, how to get home? Who's going to hold her, when she needs a hold?

When she flies through those gates, we'll be riding towards the sun. With her by my side, safe from harm.

Solitary is the tree that bears the fruit that we call focus Focus is the light we shed upon our heart to make it open Dreams are plans we make but all too often bury deep inside So open up your heart tell me your dreams and I will tell you mine

Progress often feels like I’ve been driving in the wrong direction For once I feel like I belong inside the student section That’s what happens when you finally find out what you’re meant to be The bottom drops and you enjoy the freedom we call falling free.

I ain’t tryna make it to the top of anybody’s tree I’m tryna stick a lemon in the ground and plant a lemon tree Build a place where honeybees can come and find their inner bee And hang a sign that says "if you like lemons take ‘em, these are free"

Ask a stranger what he needs instead of trying to hide Try and make a difference in another person's life Be the statue when your neighbor’s feeling like a pigeon Listen, with no restrictions hug ‘em, pin ‘em with a ribbon.
