BE YOUR OWN ANCHOR

               scott’s actually doing surprisingly well in his anatomy classes. sometimes he feels as though he’s got to study twice as hard to do half as good, and he’s not particularly fond of the dissections, but he’s committed and determined and eventually even manages an A that he celebrates excitedly. he’s been promoted to vet assistant at deaton’s clinic, and as of currently, he’s genuinely been doing great. confident, even.                    however, part of life is rolling with the punches right? peter’s bite, the alpha pack, the deadpool  .  .  .   and now, a possum? it’s not that scott’s never SEEN one, it’s just that he’s never worked with one, much less seen one in quite this regard. and deaton’s off for the weekend on scott’s assurances everything would go smoothly under his care so now all that’s left is to well, be the doctor.    he takes the offered cage, noting how unresponsive the patient currently was. definitely not good. but he’s got to know a timeline to know where to start. scott’s eyes track back up to the woman who’d brought in the caged possum.          “ when did you notice something was off? ”
