     It was as colorful as ever within the bar, an argument of sorts breaking out between many of the others over something miniscule but Nia kept to herself. She chose to read her book in one of the booths near the back, occasionally looking up to see what the commotion was about and to check up on the ‘temp’ worker. Trying to get a read on him like her reading materials.

     When he opens his mouth to speak from nearby, she almost has to check her surroundings to be certain it was her that she was referring to. Rather than take offense, Nia laughs at the question that had fallen upon her.

     “They’re… entertaining, aren’t they…?” Nia loved the League with all of her heart but she understood why he would ask. She closes her book and sets it on the table in front of her, tapping her fingernails over the cover as the thought about it for a moment longer.

     “Really they… are quite charming when… you spend more time… with them,” she offers, though she’s quick to make an addition. “Except for… Dabi, he sucks… all the time.”

       “Entertaining?” Yeah, that’s one word for it, he guesses. He’s got others though and they’re a bit less positive. The little blonde girl, he couldn’t really figure her out and at this point he had no desire to, and the masked guy seemed cool but seemed a little too loud fin his opinion. Seeing them like this made him grateful that he worked on his own.

      “We can agree on that much, about the Dabi guy. Seems like an asshole, one of those really snide guys, ya’ know the type?” Vamp’s interactions with the fire-user had been purposely brief, a small quirk talk between the two and a few messages passed where Dabi was the middle man between he and Shigaraki. Aside from that, it was rarely more than a ‘hey’, maybe even just a nod of acknowledgement whenever Vamp came around. “Bet he’s fun at parties.”

             “The top hat guy, though, he seems okay” a little dramatic but then again, that could be said for the entire group.  

           “Wh–” A five…just a five? Any pride in his successful strike evaporated under the grade, no matter the words offered to him. Which was ridiculous, because it shouldn’t freakin’ MATTER what this guy thought of him or capabilities. At all.

           But as it stood, maybe it was because the man was the person he wanted to surpass the most that the want for his approval had gotten to this extent, and the lack of a decent result in spite his efforts left behind a harsh burn instead. A proper rival showed their BEST at all times, right?

                                       Only he’d come up short just now.

           Teeth grit as Kirishima gripped his hand into a fist. “Ngh–looks like I need more of it tho’.” Frustrating–and painfully disappointing–as that was, he couldn’t dwell on it. Right, just train himself more until he could really make an impact- “Don’t suppose you have any tips to share on how to get better now, do ya?”

     The disappointment doesn’t go unnoticed, so he clears his throat. “I mean, ta’ ME, a five, but you gotta remember kid, I’m a lot tougher than some of the other people out there. Don’t think it’s nothin’, cause I know a cracked rib when I feel it. ” The bit of encouragement he can offer because well, it’s true. Rappa is certain that if any other smaller villain, or even some of his old “coworkers”, had taken that hit full on, they’d be done. The progress is showing, it IS there. 

        “You’re getting good, you just need more hard-hitting experience I learned my shit back in my old fighting grounds. No rules really bring out that instinct in ya’.” There’s also the immense difference between fighting with hero rules, and fighting in his own world. 

  “Wish I could take you around there, you’d fit right in.”

          there’s a shadow of doubt cast with the rise of a singular eyebrow. the expression upon the girl’s face had given the impression that would lead one to believe her words not the truth, and only a quiet inquiry (“need help?”) had been given… rather than stating she looked lost in a far more clear-cut manner. however, the words meant to reassure carry confidence of someone who is typically correct, and the valkyrie doesn’t dismiss it.

          instead, she steps forward / closer to the girl, and lets her eyes fall upon the phone provided. “ah…” the recognition is almost immediate, and with such, takehiko retreats to a more comfortable speaking distance. “…i’m actually heading there myself on an errand. it’s one block down and half of one over.” her head tilts forward, then subtly jerks to the left as though to gesture proper direction in tandem with the words. “want me to accompany you? would be, anyway, seeing as it’s a shared destination… it’s just less awkward with a proper invitation, y'know?”

      She can’t believe her luck! There was such a small probability that whoever she asked would know what she was talking about, so getting this successful on the first inquiry, well, perhaps she’ll really treat herself to honor this little victory. Smile replaces the initial worry that had been on her face previously. Phone is turned back towards herself, she’s sending a text to her parents, letting them know she’d be back soon, that she’d found a companion for the time being.
