a recurring dream nightmare

Elara & Margaret Whitlock; Sisters of Hallowridge Manor; Windenburg: Sisters bound by devotion and the lonely house that watched over them. One evening before the rain hit and river rose, Elara went out to explore ... and never returned. On her way home, the bridge collapsed and she fell into the river, drowning. When Margaret found her, Elara's hands were still outstretched as if reaching for her. Margaret sealed the door that led to the river path, whispering, "You'll never wander again." Her words bound them both. Elara's ghost forever caught in the current, and Margaret's forever waiting by the window.

Jovie Maren Lark; Henford-on-Bagley: A florist and pressed-flower artist selling handmade cards, journals & framed botanical art. Her signature scent is a mix of honeysuckle & petrichor. She is gentlehearted, kind to every living thing. Collects old perfume bottles and fills them with wildflower petals. A melancholic dreamer.

Lucienne Trevelyan; Windenburg: Escaping from her family's scandal and father's death, she has retreated to a little beach house off the coast. No more scrutiny, she craves peace and anonymity. She's introverted, highly intelligent and perceptive. Prefers to keep her past, emotions and thoughts close. A selective empath, she senses emotions easily but chooses when and where to engage.

Sabrina Blake; Strangerville: An investigative reporter known for her signature style and "friendly reporter charm". An empathetic listener and tenacious. Has a head-tilt habit, others find it endearing. A risk-taker, often puts herself in questionable situations for the sake of the story. Always carries flats in her bag, just in case, heels aren't for running, you know.

Fiona Whitlock; Strangerville: By day, she is an unassuming library clerk, by night, she's the voice behind the cult true crime podcast, "The Lantern Files". Collects old newspapers & microfilm scans. Always has ambient noise in the background, can't stand silence. Talks about cases like they're old friends. Keeps an emergency "go bag" under her desk, just in case. Taps her glasses when she's deep in thought.

A Sylvan nymph, she is not villain nor saint, she is simply the wild itself, beautiful and merciless. The moths that follow her are souls of the lost who choose to stay with her rather than move on. They whisper in her ears, guide her choices. If she asks you to dance, you must never refuse. Iron is her weakness.

Jenny Winters; Oasis Springs: A free spirit/van life hippie who lives and travels in her RV. She's currently settled in Oasis Springs. Dabbles in a bit of everything, singing in a band, painting, backpacking. A passionate activist, always chasing the bigger horizon. She is magnetic but unreliable. The love of Jeff's life.

Jeff Sutherland; San Myshuno: A former bid caller, he now tries to sell his accumulated wares junk at flea markets. Smokes constantly but somehow always manages to smell good. Can't pass by a yard sale or dumpster without rummaging. Calls everyone "chief, "darlin", "boss" or "kid". Always has a story to tell and loves to slow dance. A commitment-phobe but still yearns for "the one who got away" (Jenny)
