I am not a thief, just a small hungry child. It wasn't my intention, the sweet jumped into my hand. Before I knew it I felt the disappointment of my dads trust collapse on top of me. Little did I know, that fried egg was never worth the trouble.
I am not much of a risk taker, just an artist who follows her heart. My heart told me to leave my heavily academic focused secondary school behind me, and take a leap of faith. Do I regret it? No.
I am not familiar with death, but when I lost my Grandad I learnt a lot. He was the definition of a gentleman, a role model to my brother and father and an inspiration to me. Although he is gone, he will forever be loved and remembered for the incredible man that he is.
I am not superstitious, but I believe in my lucky knickers. Whether it is an interview to get into this uni or a first date my lucky knickers will always make an appearance. I have put my faith in these knickers for three years, and they haven't let me down yet. Thank-you lucky knickers.

These knickers are mainly white, featuring a large cookie monster on the right hand side. Comfortable is an understatement, these knickers are practically a nappy. With a classic brief design, these knickers are easy on the eye and easy on the arse...a winning combination. So why are these knickers lucky? Let me tell you.
I consider John Lewis to be a well respected company, so even to get an interview was luck. To make sure I got this job, I called in all the big guns and strapped on my lucky underwear... I was as prepared as I was ever going to be. To this interview I wore a fitted red and white striped dress, completely oblivious to the fact that my underwear would be visible through the white sections of this dress. Only when I was climbing the stairs did I realise that my good friend, the cookie monster was visible. I knew someone must have seen my cookie monster friend, and I began to doubt my chance of getting this job. Much to my surprise I did get the job, and it turns out my interviewer was the one who caught a peek of the underwear. To this day my mum and I question whether this was the reason I got the job. But you know what...i'm not complaining.
I brought my lucky underwear to uni with me and they are currently being stored pride of place under my bed, waiting for a chance to make another appearance. Whether this opportunity is another interview or a first date I am waiting for the right time to bring them out again. But for now, I feel confident in the knowledge that my lucky knickers will never let me down and will always be the source for my good luck.
